Connor followed the angry old man into the office and watched him take his place at his desk. "Lieutenant? Do you mind if I use (Y/n)'s desk while she is away?" Connor asked the Lieutenant.

"If you do you better not fuck with any of her shit. Got it?" He furrowed his brow to establish his seriousness towards the matter.

"Got it." Connor nodded as he sat down behind the neat desk.

Connor stared at the screen then at the concentrated Lieutenant. He remembered all the things he analyzed yesterday from his small area. Still wanting to befriend him, Connor decided to strike up a friendly conversation.

"Do you listen to Knights of the Black Death? I really like that music. It's... full of energy..." Connor tried to find the proper words to describe the Lieutenant's favorite music.

"You listen to heavy metal?" He interrogated.

"Well, I don't listen to such music. But I'd like to." Connor answered truthfully

The Lieutenant shook his head. Connor saw his relationship slightly shifted.

"You have a dog, right?" He decided to keep the conversation going.

"How do you know that?" He gruffly asked.

"The dog hair on your chair. I like dogs. What's your dog's name?" Connor inquired.

"What's it to you?" The Lieutenant turned back to his computer. After a short pause, he answered with "Sumo, I call him Sumo."

Once more the relationship status changed.

"Lieutenant, may I ask you a personal question?" Connor questioned. The Lieutenant crossed his arms and leaned back. "Last night at (Y/n)'s house. You told me to not go anywhere when I was saying I should turn myself into Cyberlife. Why?"

He sat there for a little while and gave a smug grin and went back to work. Connor's LED went yellow with confusion.

Although he wanted to ask more questions, Connor decided to turn to the screen and go through the 243 cases, the first of them dating back to nine months. The problem at hand all started in Detroit but then spread across the country when Cyberlife chose to branch outward.

"Here's the file containing the AX400 homicide from last night. This seems to be a good start to our investigation." Connor suggested.

The Lieutenant mumbled under his breath and turned away from the android that was approaching him. "I understand you are facing personal issues, Lieutenant. But you need to move past them... and-"

"Hey! Don't talk to me like you know me. I'm not your friend and I don't need your advice, okay?" The Lieutenant interrupted him.

"I've been assigned this mission, Lieutenant. I didn't come here to wait until you feel like working." Connor explained determined.

Fed up with Connor's persistence, he grabbed him by the sides of his jacket and pinned him against the wall. Just like that, their relationship was torn to pieces. "Listen asshole. If it was up to me, I'd throw the lot of you in a dumpster and set a match to it. So, STOP pissing me off! Or things are goin' to get nasty." The Lieutenant threatened.

"Lieutenant... Sorry to disturb you. Laurence got the video footage from the bus stop like you asked. We believe we saw the AX400 get off at the last stop by the convenient store and laundry mat." Another officer explained.

"I'm on it." The Lieutenant growled while letting go of the android and headed for the exit. Connor fixed himself and watched him leave.
