Aftermath

TONYS POV

The kid's life was a mess, he's lost all the family he's ever had, I know that feeling all too well. I went down a dark path, I don't want that for him. I know he might not want my help but he definitely needs it.

"Hey, kid. Come on let me take you somewhere, we still need to talk about a few things." I couldn't watch him cry anymore, maybe I can give him some good news? Is anything really going to make him happy though? Peter nodded and walked to the car, he stayed quiet, sniffling here and there. I wasn't sure where to take him or if anything would make him feel better. Something I've learned over the years is he likes heights, he normally ends his day waiting on a roof for happy to answer his calls. So that's what I'll do. I drove us home, silence still lingering. I told him to meet me on the roof, he nodded and headed up. I stayed behind making hot chocolate, it makes everything better. I head upstairs and see him sitting on the edge. I walk over and sit by him.

"Thank you." He spoke softly, his voice cracking at points. I wasn't quite sure what he was thanking me for, I haven't done anything special, at least that he knows of. I sigh and take in a deep breath, before beginning to talk. "Look, kid, I know life is tough right now and there's probably about a million things going through your head a mile a minute but I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. Now I know its weird and all, you probably never expected me to do this but until you're ready I would like to have legal custody over you, If you want, of course." I continued talking, probably too fast for the kid to even comprehend what I was saying. I looked at him and he had this big goofy smile on his face. "Are you serious? W-why?" He sounded so excited which put a smile on my face. "Well you know, I had been thinking about it for a while. You're a good kid. But I think now you really need it." I smiled at him putting my hand on his shoulder, he flinched at the touch. "I'd love that, thank you." He replied, his face still laced with his goofy grin. I finished my hot chocolate and left him to think."Oh and I invited Ned and Mj over. They should be here soon." I said before my making my way back downstairs and into the kitchen.
