"NO! Mariella! You're all I had left! Don't leave me! I love you!" You cried in your bed that was still being surrounded.

"(Y/n)?" A gruff voice quietly spoke in your right ear. The remaining space was finally plugged by your father. You quivered overwhelmed with emotions. So much so you almost embraced him. At least you were going to until you heard him speak, "I died because of you, (Y/n). You overworked me, and the stress of having you was too great. So much so that it killed me. It's your fault I'm dead."

"N-No, that's not tr-true!" You hiccupped.

"Yes, it is. You're the demise we are all waiting for. Some of us have already received." Everyone surrounding you all spoke at once.

"Pl-Please! Just leave me alone." You begged as everyone started to close in on your helpless body. "LEAVE ME ALONE" You cried out bracing yourself.

You shot up out of bed panting and grasping at your chest. "I'm right here. Don't worry, I have your treatment right here. It's about time you took anyways." Mariella calmly reassured. You wheezed while she tried to rapidly set up the machinery up to the nearby outlet. As soon as she had it up and running, she held the mask up to your face. "Take a deep breath in but slowly, okay (Y/n)?"

You unsteadily shook your head and grasped her cold hands while she held the clear mask to your face. Trying the best your best, you steadily took a sluggish inhale. Eventually, after a few more breaths, you felt much better. "Th-Thank you, Mariella." You shakily let your hands fall to your sides.

"Your vital signs were skyrocketing before I woke you up. Were you having a nightmare?" Mariella inquired as she hung the mask upon a miniature hook displayed on the machine.

"It was nothing. I'm fine." You lied.

"Are you sure? You don't want to talk about it?" Mariella questioned concerned.

"I said I'm fine." You insisted harshly. "What time is it?"

"It is currently 3:45." Mariella reported.

"I'm going to go for a walk before work today." You got out of your comfy bed and went for the closet. Quickly throwing on a white T-shirt, a grey college sweatshirt, and a pair of black and neon green leggings.

"(Y/n), are you sure it's just a walk? It seems you're getting ready to go for a run. It isn't recommended to exercise after what you had endured yesterday." Mariella called out while you finished getting ready.

"Yes, I'm sure. I don't need to have another episode at work. One more and I'm sure Captain Fowler will have to force me to resign." You answered as you walked past the concern android and down the stairs; Mariella following close behind.

"Please... Be careful out there." She pleaded putting distance between you two.

Sympathy washed over you as you turned around to see her gloomily self. Pity overruled you as you silently stepped in her direction and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I promise I will be back before five o'clock." You reassured. Mariella's face picked up with a thankful look. She nodded and turned towards the rest of the house as you walked out the front door to make your way towards the street to walk.

The cool breeze of the early morning brushed against your delicate skin as you strolled down the dark sidewalk. The moon was nowhere to be seen; neither was the sun. You observed your surroundings, listening to the sound of the wind whisking past your being. The bare trees shook along with the gust of air. This is relaxing. Checking your phone, you saw it was already almost five. Just like you had promised, you made your way back home to get ready for work. Another day...
