Kissed by darkness

Previously

A white light shone bright on the other side of my eyelids.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw nothing at first.

'Is this heaven?' I asked aloud to no one in particular.

'This is heaven nor hell,' someone responded. The voice sounded familiar, but it couldn't be.

No, it couldn't be. It wasn't...

 Will's p.o.v

It has been a week since Anna's death, Lily refuses to talk to anyone, Fred became a member of the pack-- he was now a member of two packs, the lynxes and the wolves-- and Sophie was the happiest person on earth because she got her mate back.

Then there was me. I had no idea how I could help Lily, it seemed like she was too far gone. She didn't even accept my help. She refused to talk to me or any other person. The only thing she had been doing for the past week, was staring at the box Anna left for her. I tried to get in our room several times, but the door was locked and I heard Lily crying on the other side. Of course I wanted to break the door and comfort her, but somewhere I knew that wouldn't be a good idea. If she needed me, she would call for me, but on the other hand, maybe she was too scared to ask for me, too ashamed. I decided I would try again. My legs were already walking up the stairs, knowing who would be waiting for us there.

I stood in front of our bedroom door and knocked. Again, there was no answer, no one who opened the door, only a song, a song that I had been hearing for the past week. It was always one sentence of it, and then she skipped to the next part, like the rest didn't matter.

Love is the light scaring darkness away...

.......

The power of love, a force from above, cleaning my soul.

And then it stopped, it just stopped and then it would start playing again, the same two sentences, every time. It started to creep me out, but if it made her feel better...

'Lily sweetheart, please open the door,' I almost begged her. Honestly, she was freaking me out. I was also worried how I would get her to eat, but Eve told me that she had placed a couple of meals in front of our door and Lily would grab them when she left.

Lily of course didn't open the door. My frustration took the best of me and I kicked the door open. I stepped inside, Lily nowhere in sight. My heart started racing, maybe she had escaped. I looked everywhere, and then I noticed the window to the balcony was open, and there she was. She had approximately five blankets rapped around her. Snow was all around her. She was muttering something, at first I couldn't understand it, but when I came closer, I heard it. She was murmering a song, one sentence of it in particular.

'Love is the light scaring the darkness away' She didn't hear me come closer, I bet she didn't hear me at all. She wasn't aware of anything around her, not the snow, not the cold, not my screams.

'Lily, wake up!' I yelled at her, but there was no response. It seemed like she had turned into a zombie. She didn't look at me, she was staring at nothing. Her gaze held fear and pain. I looked at her, checking her for any wounds that would cause her fear and pain. I didn't have to look for long. Across the left side of her chest was a huge cut. Blood was seeping out of it, but she didn't seem to notice. I tried to tear the blankets away, trying to get a better look at the wound. The moment I touched her skin, she screamed.
