Before you-know-who (Tom Riddle x reader)

"I never meant for it to be like this"

Flashback:

The next day y/n had brought Tom to the L/n manor.

"And explain why you brought me here again"

" i just want to show you something alright"

Tom however wasn't convinced. They made their way towards the heavy wooden doors and pushed it open. Tom noticed the family portraits that hung up on the wall and the grand staircases that lead to upper corridor.

"Ahhh master L/n is back!" Norris said in her normally high pitched voice. "And i see that master had brought a friend! Now what can Norris do for you?"

"Nothing at the moment. But thank you anyway Norris".

And with that y/n and tom ventured up the stairs towards her father's study.

"And what is this thing that you want to show me?"

" its called a pensive, you can see the future if you put the right memories in."

"Yeah i know what a pensive does i'm not stupid but what exactly did you want me to see?"

"Well your future. It might make you change your mind about the power thing".

As tom walked towards the pensive he thought, change my mind about what? I already have everything i want! Why would i want to go back now?.

As he put is face in the pensive he could see the scene play out that y/n saw the other day.

There was a graveyard with the Riddle mansion in the back. Tom didn't like the sight if the mansion. It reminded him of his filthy muggle father that had left his mother. Leaving Tom in the orphanage which was pretty much equivalent to hell its self.

He stood before a group of masked figures and a teenage boy. The boy had raven black hair with emerald green eyes.

While tom was looking at his future, y/n was thinking about why she wasn't in his future. Maybe Tom had just abandoned her for power of his own. He probably didn't want to share his power with y/n if that was the only thing stopping him from being indestructible.

She was brought out of her thoughts by Tom arising from the pensive.

"So that's what you wanted to show me?" He said with a bit of a raised voice.

"Yes I thought it might of changed you mind about these horcruxes-"

"NO WELL IT DIDN'T! NOW I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BECOMING THAT THING!" he was now full on yelling at the girl stood right in front of him.

"Trust me tom! I think this power hungry thing that you have going on is getting out of hand!".

"Alright and what are you suggesting we do about it?"

"We?! No Tom I'm talking about you! You need to stop your self from going to far. There is only so much i can do! Im not saying get rid of the horcruxes. Just control your power!"

"Right sorry for yelling at you then. I'll try to control it. Just for you y/n but promise me this".

Y/n nodded in response.

"You wont leave my side no matter what happens"

"I promise"

Flashback ended:

It was true she didn't leave my side, well had no intentions to anyway".
