"What if it tries to do what to me?" Mae choked out, her eyes wide as saucers.

"Xavier let go of the glass before the ghost could say bye, or before we could have recited a spell for it to not leave the board. Now it's out and about, and it has an interest in Mae." Eric explained, before turning to face the wide-eyed brunette.

"Spell?" Xavier raised an eyebrow at his friend's fallen suggestion. "What the hell do you mean by that?"

"He's a witch. Or wizard? Or do you guys call yourselves warlocks? There are so many terms you could go by, really." Mae hummed from her spot on the couch, catching both Eric and Amy by surprise.

Since the entire house had still been dark, Mae was unable to see the curious gazes being sent her way by the Lawrence's. As the silence continued on, Mae rolled her eyes before snorting. "What? I know things."

"Well, how?" Eric breathed out, finally finding his voice after the bombshell.

"It wasn't that hard to put the pieces together." She shrugged, because it really wasn't that hard for her to figure out the truth. "The school you attend was on the news a few years back. After that lady Courtney Goode went on the news and announced that witches and magic were real, lots of people weren't fond of the idea. Then, some locals went on and burn down Hawthorne because it was a magic school. From there, I pieced everything together."

"That's was very insightful, Mae." Amy chuckled while shaking her head. The redhead couldn't help but find humor with the way Mae delivered her knowledge on knowing about Eric and his abilities.

"Wait, is that true?" Xavier whispered, his jaw becoming slack as he gaped at the dark figures of his loved ones. "Are you really a wizard, dude?" He asked.

"The proper term is warlock." Eric corrected, answering Xavier's question.

A high pitch squeal soon followed after, before Xavier began to shoot questions at Eric about potions and if he was able to ride a broom, like Harry Potter.

"Does this mean Amy is a witch?" Xavier questioned, his eyes finding its way to the short redhead near the couch.

"Yeah." Eric answered for his sister.

When hearing his answer, Mae pulled herself up to a sitting position, perking up at his words.

"How about Shannon?" She asked, her golden eyes finding Eric's russet colored ones. She was able to see a head nod being sent her way. When seeing the action, Mae let out a scoff before shaking her head.

"So, why me?" She asked. "Why not, Amy? Or Shannon? Heck, why not you Eric? Why is this 'thing' interested in me?" Mae stood up from her the couch, and made her way next to Amy.

"Mae-" Eric tried to console the teen, but was quickly cut off by Mae.

"That came out wrong. I mean, why does it want me, when you guys are way more advanced at this stuff than me. I mean, all I can do is make things float. You can probably do way more than that." She explained.

"Wait, you can do what?" Amy gasped, snapping her head in the older girl's direction.

"That shouldn't be possible." Eric actions resembled his younger sister's as he openly gawked at the short teen.

"And why shouldn't that be possible." Xavier asked, crossing his arms over his chest. His hazel eyes narrowed slightly as wave of protectiveness washed through him, making him take a step closer to Mae.

Before either Lawrence's could even get a word out, a crash came from the kitchen. Soon, all talk of magic and potential magic left the circle as they all drew in a deep breath and listened for any further movement from the kitchen that should have been empty.
