Eric's eyes shot wide open, gasping loudly as he came to. As this had been his first time astro-projecting to a distant location, and for that amount of time no less, yet Eric couldn't help but be proud of himself. He looked at his surrounding, taking in the blue paint, and poster covered walls before scrambling out of Mae's bed.
He took note of the time, nodding to himself as he mentally constructed a plan that would keep everyone safe until his mother arrives.
Slowly opening the bedroom door, Eric peered out into the dark hall, before scurrying towards the light energy his sister was producing. He was careful with his movements as he made sure not to land on any rickety floorboard.
When he reached the door, he tried to push it open by twisting the doorknob, but it got him nowhere since the door was locked. Eric knew better than to knock, as in these type of situations it's better to make the least amount of noise as possible.
So, the warlock waved his hand in front of the knob, unlocking the door; before, opening it with the flick of his wrist. As he took a step towards the room, a brute force slammed against his chest, knocking the wind out of Eric as he flew back into the wall behind him.
Letting a pain-filled groan, Eric remained on the floor of the dark hallway as this had been third time he had been thrown against a wall in the last hour.
The sound of the door being pushed open met the teen's ears, before he heard hushed yelling.
"Amy, look what you did!" Xavier chastised the youngest member of the group as he rushed over to help Eric on his feet.
The young redhead didn't bother to reply as she ran towards her brother, wrapping her arms around his torso before incoherently stumbling over her words.
"Are you okay?" This being the only questioned asked by Amy that Eric could understand.
"I'm still standing, aren't I?" He laughed, holding his sister close. "By the way, nice throw. You're getting better at that."
Pulling away from Eric's grasp, Amy rolled her eyes. "Well, I thought you were the delivery boy. Where is he by the way?"
"And where's Mae? It's been almost an hour since we've last seen her." Xavier nervously mumbled, before looking at the redhead. "Do you think you can find her by using your powers?"
Eric nodded, before closing his eyes. He tried to seek out for the girl's energy, the same way he did with Amy and was surprised to be met with a cold chill. He repeated his action, and even went as far as to reciting a spell that was used for locating someone, but still came up with nothing.
