This can't be it

Jac left in the early hours of New Years Day. Not sleeping over rule observed.
As she stood in the shower she relived last night.
I mean she was drunk but she knew exactly what she was doing but in the cold light of day she wondered how they would be around each other at work
"I wonder if there's a door to that parallel universe anywhere at work?" She laughed to herself
Sacha did not surface until well after lunchtime
"God Serena Campbell can put away the Shiraz" he groaned gratefully accepting the coffee she offered
"You didn't have to match her glass for glass Sacha" Jac laughed
"Seemed rude not to" he grumbled "anyway where did you get to I didn't see you after midnight. In fact I didn't see you at midnight"
"Oh I stayed at a friend's until about 5 am"
Sacha raised an eyebrow "a friend? Anyone I know"
"That my dear Sacha is absolutely none of your business" she playfully bopped him on the nose as she walked past.
They spent a lazy day watching rubbish on the TV and finishing off the box of celebrations
The next day Jac walked onto the ward on high Fletch alert and spotted him almost immediately at the nurses station.
She did her usual curt "morning" to the staff sitting there and went straight to her office
No electives today. Paperwork and as yet, non existent emergencies.
She received a text at 11am from Fletch
Hi friend
His opening phrase made her laugh
How's your day?

Fine. Don't know if you're interested but Emma is still in Scotland and Sacha is on nights tonight

And that was it. No more communication all day.
Jac left at normal time - no sign of Fletch. Maybe he's changed his mind.
She got home and kicked her shoes off. Making herself a coffee she contemplated their texts . They hadn't agreed where to meet up or even if they actually were going to meet up at all.
She shrugged "oh well, nice while it lasted"
Jac finished her jacket potato and poured a glass of wine. She stretched out on the sofa when she was startled by the door bell.
Oh my god Fletch? Her heart was suddenly in her mouth. She checked herself in the mirror and opened the door
He was leaning lazily
"Hi"
"Hi" God he was sexy
"Are you going to ask me in?"
"Oh sorry, yes of course"
As soon as they were through the door, Fletch had her pressed up against it. She responded at once. Really settling into the kiss and starting to rock her hips rhythmically into him.
"Mmm pleased to see me Fletch" she eased a hand between them and firmly rubbed the bulge in his jeans
Fletch groaned
"Bed. Now " he managed to say
And so  it was their 'friends with benefits' , parallel universe affair began
Every few days they would find somewhere to hook up. They snatched an hour here and there when his kids were at school or they would sneak off to 'training' and book a hotel room for the afternoon. It was exciting and they had observed the 'rules' meticulously
How long before it all blew up in their faces?
It was a dangerous game to play
