Fletch went home with Evie.
Jac had gone straight into theatre so didn't see them before they left.
Finally it was home time and Jac checked her phone before she left. She was kind of surprised that Fletch hadn't texted to say how Evie was. But why would he? She considered texting him but that was definitely breaking the rules
Sacha was still on nights so she was once again alone. Uncharacteristically Jac was feeling sorry for herself and allowed a solitary tear to fall. Pull yourself together Naylor you've only got yourself to blame. You and your stupid ice queen walls of defence.
For the first time in her life she cried herself to sleep, giving in to the self pity that she abhorred in others. Hugging the pillow that she wished was Fletch, she marvelled at what a monumental mess she'd made of everything.
Over at the Fletcher house, despite there being 5 people in the house he couldn't remember ever feeling this alone. His feckless father had done what he does best and left. Evie was devastated but the silver lining was that she realised she needed her dad and he only wanted to protect her and look after her but now they were all in bed he couldn't get the image of Jac comforting Evie out of his head. It melted his heart. Made him love her even more , it would have been really hard for Jac. She didn't do 'touchy feely' she said she left that to him.

Hello stranger he greeted his late wife's sister. Despite everything that happened between him and Nat, since her death the family had made a real effort to keep in contact with the kids. Gemma now lived in New Zealand with her husband but was apparently in the UK for a while
