Chapter 29 - A Christmas Bow and Lots of Snow

"Sup, Prince Dad." I enter Roman's room, only to see him yeet several things across the room.

"Y/N! You almost saw your gifts!" Roman whines dramatically.

"I always forget how extra you get around the holidays." I tell him.

"He's always extra!" I hear Virgil yell from the other room.

"Yeah, but he's more extra than normal." I yell back.

"That's possible?!" Virgil yells again.

"Apparently." I reply. Virgil appears in the room suddenly, and Roman yeets even more things out of the way.

"Stop trying to ruin your surprises!"

"Sorry, your highness, did my mummy have to sign a permission slip for me?" Virgil says sarcastically, teasing Roman once again.

"You don't have a mother!" Logan yells.

"No u." Virgil yells back. Logan appears in the room next to Virgil.

"That makes no sense!" Logan replies.

"Awww, forget your vocabulary cards, teach?" Virgil taunts.

"F A L S E H O O D!" Logan shouts. "They are right here."

"Hey, Logan!" Patton suddenly pops in the room. "Guess what?"

"What is it, Patton?" Logan replies calmly.

"Well I got this hoodie yesterday, but there wasn't a real hood on it. It was drawn on." Patton says.

"Okay, why-" Logan gets cut off.

"I guess you could say..." Patton says. "It was a false hood!"

Logan does his offended Logan noises, Virgil and I laugh harder than we should be, and Roman and dad shake their heads.

"It's funnier every time." I say.

"How can laughing at someone else's expense be so entertaining?" Logan asks.

I pick something up off of the floor, being a three pack of scotch tape, and throw it at Roman's head.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Roman yells.

"I understand fully now." Logan says, laughing at Roman's pain.

"Seriously, What was that for?!" Roman yells again.

"Science!" I reply. Virgil snickers.

"If this is what science is, I support it with every fibre of my being." Virgil says.

"In a way, it is a form of science." Logan replies.

"Then I support it with every fibre of my being." Virgil says.

I laugh. They never stop bickering, even when it's Christmas. They love each other, though, so that all that matters.
