"Who was Ms. Rancho to you?" Connor engaged into the interrogating at the given opportunity.
"Mina was an old friend of mine. She helped me through a lot throughout the past." Bernadette answered with, from what the analyzation could tell, honesty and sincerity.
"The note that she left for you, can you tell us the importance of it?" Connor held out the yellow sticky note out in front of him for her to read it.
"She always was trying to encourage me to put my past behind me because I was always complaining about nightmares concerning it. But me being the stubborn type of person I am I kept pushing it away. I kept pushing her away." Bernadette quivered. "Oh my god, it's my fault she's dead, isn't it? I wasn't there to stop whatever happened to her."
"It's all going to be alright. It wasn't your fault. We're suspecting the murderer to be a deviated android. Did she have one?" Connor asked yet another question. It seemed to him that he was the only one interrogating the grieving doctor. Deciding to investigate, Connor looked to his right to see (Y/n) staring at the ground deep in thought. She might not be too interested at the moment. After all, I did take her when she was officially off the clock.
"S-She did." The doctor answered vaguely.
"Can you specify what type of model or any specific detail of it?" He tried to pry some further information out of the shaking woman.
"It was..." Bernadette sighed and hung her head low. "A BL100 model. She named him Darius. My husband would always make fun of him for being an android. Following every order given to him no matter the order unless it contradicted his assigned ones."
"Is your husband and anti-androids supporter?" He looked further into Bernadette's side of the story. For some unknown reason, Connor had growing suspicions of her.
"What? No! He's all for them. He just believes-" The doctor trailed off once again. (Y/n) took notice in her state that Connor was inflicting onto the poor woman.
"Believes? Believes in what?" Connor continued to slam questions onto the doctor. At least until (Y/n) merged into the conversation.
"Connor, do you think I can take over the rest of the interview? I feel kind of bored just sitting here." (Y/n) chuckled uncomfortably. Connor slightly nodded his head and turned back to the woman to scan her during her questioning. "Alone, Connor."
"Alone? Why?" He turned around and faced his partner with confusion.
"I'm going to assume that you two need to talk. Would you like some tea, Detective? I was going to start making some before you showed up." Bernadette offered. (Y/n) shook her head with the same grin that she had on when the two of them were at the front door. With that, the nervous doctor shuffled into the kitchen that wasn't too far away from the living room area where a warm fire was ablaze.
(Y/n) leaned over and whispered into Connor. "Look at her, I'm sure you can see that she is highly uncomfortable. At this rate, we won't get anything out of her like this. Just leave this to me and I'll report back to you with the information I got from her." She pleaded adamantly.
"Fine. But this will be the last time, (Y/n). When I previously let you do this the deviant got away and you were suspected of assisting its escape." Connor reminded her.
"Yes, I know. But that was all coincidence. This is a human in her own home. You'll be right on the front porch so if anything happens then you can barge right in." (Y/n) finished persuading him just as Bernadette came back with two mugs with a string hanging along the rim of the cup. The hot beverage emitted satisfying waves of steam as it cooled.
