Basic Training Pt. 2

Destiny's POV

"What do you mean 'that's it' ?"

"There's only 7 things, seven elements in each set. You've learned everything you can in this set. Now I have to talk to you about the 3rd set."

"Wait. I thought there was only 6 natural elements...."

"Um... we'll talk about that another time...." I looked at her suspiciously.

"Alright..... how can you teach me pure elements, if your powers are only past present and future?"

"Will you quit talking and let me explain?" Caterina says.

I nod my head slowly.

"Okay," she begins, "so I cannot teach you the 3rd set. But I can explain what it is. the 3rd set is only the 7--I mean six, natural elements, but much more powerful. for example, flames, instead of controlling them, you can control lava. and instead of Ice you can make it hail or snow.

"Wow." I say.

"Me and Jillian were great friends, she would share all her secrets with me. and one, was about the pure elements."

"What is it?! tell me!" I exclaim.

"Okay okay. she said that forcing this set upon yourself could kill you. it's extremely powerful and dangerous. if you use one of these powers, it drains all your energy afterwards. so your completely defenseless. that's why it's good, and bad. you have to let these powers come upon you naturally, you can't try and use them, it could harm not just you, but innocent people."

I looked down at the carpet, and thought. this could be the perfect opportunity though. I could get my parents back, and destroy Fletcher and his followers. I need to try it.

"I understand" I said softly.

I'm going to try it. I have to.

Sorry it's such a short chapter, it's 2am and I'm tired. just thought I should at least get an update in. even though it's short, it's a really important chapter. so remember it.
