Minji walked out of her bedroom to find Chaeyoung in the living area, and Jisoo in the kitchen making pancakes.

"Happy birthday, baby" greeted Chaeyoung, holding her arms out so a smiling Minji could walk into them.

"Thanks, mom" replied Minji while giving her mother a hug.

"Happy birthday, Minji" said Jisoo, flipping a pancake in the air.

Minji let go of her mother and walked to Jisoo, wrapping her arms around her. "Thanks, Jisoo. You're making me pancakes?"

"Sure am. But these are no ordinary pancakes. They're heart shaped."

"Why?" asked Minji.

"Because, young lady, it is your birthday and we love you."

Minji grinned.

"Are you excited about the soft play?"

Minji's eyes lit up, "Yeah. It's gonna be so amazing. Everyone's looking forward to it."

Chaeyoung walked over to join them, "Then at night we'll go to Seulgi's. You, me, Jisoo and Irene."

Minji nodded, "It's gonna be so awesome, mom. Thank you."

"Hey, I didn't do it on my own. But you're welcome."

"You've got a lot of people who love you, kiddo" stated Jisoo, and she and Minji shared a smile, before Jisoo put the pancakes on plates and served them to everyone.

They sat at the table eating and talking. When they were done, Chaeyoung gathered the dishes so that she could wash them.

"I'm gonna have to love you and leave you guys, I have work" said Jisoo. She walked round to Minji and placed a kiss on her head, "Happy birthday, kiddo, I'll see you later. Have fun at the soft play, I'll be wanting to hear all about it tonight." She turned to Chaeyoung, "See you tonight, babe."

Chaeyoung turned around and gave her a smile, before walking her to the door and sharing a kiss. After she'd watched her go, she returned to washing the dishes before she had to get Minji ready for school.

After work, Jisoo went home to shower and change. She'd put on her glasses as the contacts had been irritating her again.

Irene drove Jisoo to Seulgi's as her present was too large to transport on a motorbike. She had bought Minji a selection of books she had enjoyed reading whilst growing up, at various reading levels. She's packaged them all in an antique style wooden trunk she'd bought at a fair. It reminded her of something you might see in Hogwarts. She hoped Minji would love it as much as she thought she was going to. As an extra, she'd added an F.B.I. t-shirt at the bottom of the trunk.

They'd arrived at Seulgi's a few hours before Chaeyoung was due to bring Minji over. They checked the decorations and put the finishing touches in place. Seulgi wanted to capture the day for Chaeyoung as she knew she had a scrapbook where she recorded events in Minji's life. She took photos of the massive cake she'd bought, and photos of Irene and Jisoo putting up the decorations.

When Chaeyoung sent a text to Seulgi that they were there, they put the lights off and hid, shouting "Surprise!" when Minji and Chaeyoung entered the house.

Chaeyoung flicked the lights on and Minji gasped at the decorations and the size of her smile made it all worthwhile. "Oh my god you guys, this is amazing!"

Seulgi snapped a photo of Minji, with Chaeyoung beaming in the background.

"Oh my god, look at the cake!" said Minji, running to it to get a better look.
