~Alexis POV~

I walk to the area where drew arranged the tulips. And that's when I see her...............

My breath gets caught in my throat and I stumble back. She comes closer and her weapon comes into view. I hear a commotion coming from behingd. I sneak a glance and see everyone running back to the palace. 

I see Drew coming towards me. 

No go back, I don't need you to risk yourself for me like a cliche children story. 

"Go back to the palace Drew." "No, I'm not losing you." If we weren't in a dangerous situation I would smile and blush but as we are actually in a dangerous situation I become nervous. "Trust me I have a plan." I say. "Are you sure?" "Yes and I promise to come back just go." He hesitates then runs towards the palace. 

I divert me gaze back to the person who I have trusted my  whole life, shared secrets with, and gave my friendship to. Lily. 

"What do you want Lily?" I ask with all the confidence i can muster. "I want my revenge." "What did I ever do to you?" "Really, what haven't you done to me? You are always the centre of attention." 

Confusion takes over me and I have a puzzled plastered to my face. 

She grunts out in anger, "You Alexis have always stolen any chances that I could have. In school you were oblivious. You never realised the amount of boys that fell over for you. Haven't you ever wondered why random guys always pick something that you drop? No one ever realises that I actually exist as well. And here, I thought that it would get better and that one of the models would be chosen by the Prince. BUT NO, AS USUAL HE FELL FOR THE O SO PERFECT ALEXIS MASON!!!"

 "DON'T YOU DARE SHOUT AT ME. YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN JEALOUS FOR SOMETHING I NEVER KNEW. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME INSTEAD OF MOPING ABOUT HOW MISERABLE YOU ARE. YOU HAVE EVERYTHING I COULD WANT, ALL OF YOUR FAMILY, MONEY, A DECENT HOUSE, BUT NO, YOU GET JEALOUS OF ME. WHY? BECAUSE OF SOME RANDOM GUYS THAT JUST SO HAPPENED TO HAVE LIKINGS FOR ME! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" 

"I HOPE THAT IF I DON'T GET TO KILL YOU THAT SOMEONE ELSE WILL AND SOON YOU WILL JOIN YOUR EXCUSE OF A FATHER." 

"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT YOU SLUTTY WHORE. YOU THINK THAT EVERYTHING IS HOPELESS FOR YOU WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE FOR YOU TO LOSE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE  IN YOUR LIFE! " 

Her face becomes full of rage and thats when I start with my plan. I am grateful that I'm not wearing a floor length dress. I slip out of my heels then position my hands. She looks confused but then, I sprint. I was always the fastest in the class and now it will finally come in handy.

I sprintnot to the palace but tp the woods. I run and run til my legs ache. I hear footsteps coming behind me and the first idea that pops into my head I do it. 

I start climbing a big tree that will surely cover me.

They run past me and I wait til a few minutes pass. Then I jump down then sprint as quietly as i can to the palace. Somehow they know I'm not a threat and let me in. The guards lock the door behind me then I am guided to a safe room. I collapse next to Iris and i see the relief in her eyes. I close my eyes and rub my feet. I'm used to running but I'm not used to running barefoot or climbing barefoot. 

I feel the familiar warmth of drew's arms. "I can't believe that you were able to run away from the rebels. How?" "i have always been really fast and handy at climbing so I used my so called skills and well, here I am."

"I;m just glad that you're okay. I couldn't believe that you would get away but now I know that can never let you go again." He hugs me again then i close my eyes with him making me feel safe.
