yeonjun and soobin arrived back home at about four in the afternoon. neither of them kept track of time on their little date, and neither of soobin's parents contacted any of them, showing that they had full trust in yeonjun.
they entered soobin's house slowly, his siblings, parents and best friend sat in the living area with a huge cake on the table. they obviously wanted the boy to feel the slightest bit better.
"w-what's this guys?" soobin questioned anxiously. he honestly just wanted everyone to forget what had happened and move on with their lives.
"oh nothing honey, we just thought we'd make a cake. beomgyu has been here for the past hour." his mother spoke, a huge smile on her face, trying to make the younger feel better.
"why didn't you tell me?" soobin returned, waiting for a response.
"we didn't want to interrupt you guys." beomgyu spoke up before walking to his best friend and embracing him in a tight hug.
---------
they all gathered and talked, laughing whilst they enjoyed the soft red velvet cake led out on the coffee table, trying to make eachother feel better. beomgyu and soobin hurried to soobin's bedroom, his siblings parting their ways as yeonjun stayed to help wash the plates used to eat the cake on.
"yeonjun, dear?" soobin's mother called.
"yes, mrs choi." the boy responded as politely as possible.
"thank you for saving my boy." she paused. "i was really gutted when i heard you two split, soobin thought i didn't hear him crying every night, but i did. it absolutely broke my heart but i knew he just needed some space."
"he, he cried?" yeonjun stuttered.
"son, he was devastated. but i'm so glad you're okay again. say, will you two date again?"
"i really hope so, mrs choi. i-i love him. so much. and i want him to know and feel loved and cared for. he really does mean a lot to me." yeonjun answered.
"i can tell. keep him safe, and as happy as you can, please." soobin's mother smiled faintly before walking out of the room to where her husband was sitting.
yeonjun made his way up to soobin's room, knocking gently before entering.
"hey, uh, guys. i'm going to leave now. i probably won't see you until sunday at the least, but i'll hopefully see you monday. i'll pick you up for school yeah?" yeonjun quietly spoke.
"yeah, thank you hyung." soobin smiled.
the two just stared at eachother in silence before beomgyu spoke up, "i'm, uh, going to use the restroom."
after he left the room, yeonjun held his arms open for soobin, who gladly accepted the hug. soobin held onto the boy as if he was going to leave forever. they pulled away slowly, arms still wrapped around one another.
"kiss me, please." soobin pouted.
yeonjun chuckled before pressing his lips softly onto the younger's. their lips moved slowly and in sync, small movements with a lot of love and passion to it.
yeonjun was soobin's missing piece to his puzzle.
