And Jungkook was right.Yoongi was quite at the start of the service but as it went on he got more confident in whispering little jokes which made the bored maknae laugh or snicker.
Jungkook didn't even join in with the hymes like he normally did because he was pretending to show Yoongi the lyrics for them when in reality they were both just whispering and talking, luckily going unnoticed.
It was only when Jungkook and Yoongi were prompted to join in by their mother that Yoongi actually went silent.
It wasn't because he couldn't figure out how to sing along but because of how well his new sibling could sing, the boy had vocals and talent oozing out of him.
He was genuinely amazed and left speechless which Jungkook didn't notice until after the hyme when he had to stop his hyung from clapping as his own face went red in realisation.
Not long after that the service ended and the moment it was acceptable to speak Yoongi gushed "Boiii you sing like a professional and you have such an amazing voice with such good control. Do you do singing? If not you should because you've got a talent. You literally sing so well. If you'd have sung earlier I might've paid attention to the choir."
Jungkook looked down shyly letting his hyung gush until his father stepped in and said "He sings as a hobby because he's too shy to join the choir."
Yoongi chuckled before saying "Forget about the choir, get him a record deal."
Jungkook carried on looking down shyly as his step mother cooed over him as well.
The family were distracted and didn't notice the families waiting to go over and greet them, first trying to get a first impression on the two new additions.
Yoongi however, eventually noticed and frowned lightly which his mother noticed raising an eyebrow before noticing herself.
She turned to her husband and leaned up to peck his cheek and whisper "People are staring." getting his attention and making him straighten up and cough as he regained his composure.
"Yoongi, why don't you and Jungkook go talk to some more people closer to your age and make some friends. Jungkook could do with the push to make a few more so why don't you both go and try to talk to people?"
He may have said it as a question but Yoongi knew it was more of a demand so he nodded, face going blank again, before gently pulling Jungkook by his arm into some other direction.
A few minutes of walking later and the pair were out of everyone's sight and sat towards the back exit of the church where Yoongi situated himself sitting on a step as Jungkook awkwardly hovered which made Yoongi raise an eyebrow.
Jungkook looked down as he nervously asked "Should we be back here hyung? Appa said to make new friends, not to... yeah..." refusing to look up as he spoke.
Yoongi's eyebrow remained raised because of this as he softly asked "Do you want to make new friends Jungkook-ah?"
Jungkook quickly shook his head causing Yoongi to chuckle and pat the seat next to him and say "Then come sit down, i'll take the blame if we get in trouble i'll just say I got overwhelmed and that you, being the angel brother you are, stayed with me."
Jungkook looked nervous but nodded anyways as he made his way to next to Yoongi.
A silence built between the two and Yoongi could tell Jungkook was still nervous so he decided to break the silence before it got awkward and asked "Is church always like that?"
Jungkook shook his head quickly and quietly whispered "It's boring during the service but before and after is normally okay. It's just everyone today was staring... and I couldn't see Jin hyung or Jiminie hyung..."
Yoongi tilted his head to the side and mindlessly asked "So it's opposite day today?" getting a chuckle and a "I guess so." in response by Jungkook.
Yoongi hummed in thought before he heard voices coming in their direction causing him to get up and pull Jungkook up with him.
He didn't want to get caught hiding because then they really would get in trouble for not trying.
But before Yoongi could pull Jungkook in a random direction, Jungkook already had dragged him into the shrubbery with a confused look when he saw the priests daughter and one of the choir boys hand in hand making their way to the steps theyd just been sat on.

It was safe to say Jungkook and Yoongi wouldn't sit behind the church again.
