Fractured - Loki x Reader - Sequel

Bucky's P.O.V.

   The second those words left his mouth, my heart stopped. There was only one thing the four of us knew that she shouldn't. I stared at him. He had to be joking, right? There was no way she could know.

   "What do you mean she knows?" I asked harshly, "She can't know!" He shook his head and returned to pacing. Steve gave me a strange look. It was clear he hadn't remembered what we were talking about. I glanced at Stark. He knew. I could tell by the look on his face. He was thinking hard about something, probably concerning our current situation. Loki began to speak again, not stopping his pacing.

   "The thing is, she doesn't consciously know. Her waking mind is still oblivious to it. However," He paused, glancing around as if to make sure no one was listening. He then stepped closer and lowered his voice. "Her subconscious is aware. What she saw, she saw it because she's slowly becoming more consciously aware. If we don't or can't stop it, she'll become fully knowing. She'll be able to see not only the atrocities she's committed, but she'll also be able to see what she's capable of." I looked him dead in the eyes. What he said, it wasn't a lie. It was true.

   "She wouldn't be able to handle knowing." I muttered. "It would destroy her. When she did it, it wasn't her. I was there. She wasn't in her right mind. She hasn't gone that far since, but if she were to..." I trailed off. I didn't want to finish the sentence. I didn't even want to finish the thought. Steve looked like he was growing more confused.

   "Are we talking about when she-" He couldn't finish before Tony covered his mouth.

   "Yes." He told him. "Yes we are." He gently removed his hand. "Well how do we stop her from remembering?" Loki looked like he would slap someone. Were we that oblivious.

   "I've been trying to, Stark." He growled. "The pills I give her. They're supposed to prevent her mind from learning about it. But clearly it hasn't been working." He crossed his arms and sighed, leaning back against the wall. "Look, you all say you care about her. If you truly do, you will prevent her from finding this out for as long as possible. Please. It would destroy her completely." I nodded and was going to reply when [Y/N] popped her head into the room.

   "Loki? Is everything ok?" Concern glittered her eyes. He smiled fondly at her and pulled her over to him, gently kissing her temple.

   "Everything is fine, love." He reassured her. "I was just about to leave these three to talk." She nodded and then hugged him. He returned her hug. "Would you like to go on a walk with me?" She smiled.

   "Of course!" She chirped happily. He nodded.

   "Alright. You go and wait for me. I'll be there in a moment." Once she had gone he turned back to us, his expression once again serious. "Under no circumstances can she find out that she killed-"
