The Internship (Robert Downey Jr. Fanfic)

Walking up the stairs of my apartment building I can't help, but replay the earlier events in my head.

The alluring way he smelled. The aura of him filled my nose with a mixture of Pine and Leather.

I can still smell it.

His confidence, the way he stands straight up and speaks as clear as day. Meanwhile, he probably thought I sounded like a stuttering idiot.

And his looks. How can I forget about his looks? He looks like the Greek Gods sculpted and put him together. His jawline is sharp and defined by a beard. The suit he wore outlined his body, with a tight fit. His hair was perfect, not a strand out of place. Yet, still managed to look soft.

I walk into my apartment.

"Oh, hey! You're back early. Did everything go alright?" Natalie turns around facing the door as she sits at our dining table.

"What?...Yeah...No. It went great!" I attempt to drag myself out of my thoughts about Mr. Downey.

"Then why are you back so soon?"

"Today was more of a meet you get to see what you're about. Tomorrow is the real deal." I move to the table sitting next to her.

"Oh, okay. So tell me about it! How's your boss? Did you meet the hottie who runs the place Robert Downey Jr?"

"How did you know Mr. Downey was hot?" I raise a brow.

"So you did meet him." A smirk forms on her lips. "And I looked up the firm then I looked up him."

Things go quiet for a moment, until I finally speak.

"He's actually my Boss."

"Yeah, I know it's his company." Natalie spits back.

"No. He's who I'm interning with."

As soon as the words leave my mouth Nat's eye light up.

"No. Way. You and Mr. Hottie? In an office together... all day...alone..."

"Not alone."

"So he doesn't have his own office with a door?" Nat raises a brow.

"Of course he does."

"So again. Alone."

I roll my eyes getting up to leave this conversation knowing I'm not going to win.

"What did you think about him?" Natalie follows me into the kitchen.

"Well, at first I met him in the elevator I didn't know it was him. Then I get taken to his office and BAM he's there and he has the most amazing eyes." I grab a cup of water.

"So you were looking at his eyes, huh?" She grins leaning against the wall

"What? No. Just. Okay, maybe. He's handsome. I don't even think that covers how good he looks. But he's also intense."

"How so?"

"He's very confident and his eyes literally wouldn't leave me. Not once. It was like he was-"

Natalie cuts me off before I can finish.

"Eye banging you?"

"Huh? No! He's my boss he was probably just trying to get a feel as to who I am and what I can do."

"Oh I'm sure. What you can do in bed!"

"Shut up!" I laugh going to my room shutting the door.

But it does nothing as Natalie walks right in.

"What else? Tell me more!" She lays on my bed as I grab clothes to change into.

"He may have kissed my hand." I blush looking at the floor. But I can tell Nat's mouth is wide open. 

"Wow, a true gentleman. Mhm." She goes quiet for a minute and before I walk into my bathroom she speaks once more.

"He totally wants to fuck."

I shake my head shutting the door locking it. I turn to the mirror and undress myself.

A man like that, would never be interested in someone like me. I'm just an ordinary girl. I don't have anything special about my hair nor my looks. My body is slender, but nothing special. I'm just me, plus he's my boss so he's probably not thinking like that anyway.
