Lexi's POV

I wake up to Natalie knocking on my door.

"Rise and shine hot stuff. I'm not letting you sleep the day away." Nat says loudly walking over to my curtains allowing the sun in. I cry out turning over pulling the blankets over my head, which are soon snatched off me and removed from the bed. "I'm not kidding."

"I need to find my own place." I groan attempting to keep the sun out of my eyes with a pillow.

"One, you love me too much to leave. Two, you're being extremely dramatic. Get up, call up lover boy get out of this room."

"I can't and what are you my mom?" I sit up stretching.

"No, your mom is a saint. I would've murdered you if I had to raise you during your adolescent years. And why can't you call Rob? Yesterday you said everything was fine, did something happen within the past, twelve-ish hours? Cause I really can't keep up."

"He's busy today." Not a complete lie, since I saw him and Susan the other day in his office I can only assume that means she brought the kids to him this weekend.

"Fine, then you're coming with me."

"Where are you going?"

"We're going to coney island."

"No." I groan laying back down.

"Yes. It's beautiful out and I want to go to the beach." Nat stands at the end of the bed with her arms crossed.

"Then go ahead, but I'm staying."

"No you're coming! End of discussion." She walks out of my room.

"You're gonna be a great mom someday." I yell laughing, but still annoyed that I have to go.

"Thank you." She yells back before I hear her bedroom door shut.

I reach over to my nightstand grabbing my phone, disappointed when I don't see anything from Robert.

Why did I think he'd message me? I told him to go back to his wife, he agreed... then said what we had was a mistake.

I take a deep breath trying to hold back the tears.

I know he only said that because the heat of the moment, but thinking he might actually regret being with me hurts a lot. I just want to lay in bed all day, but there's noway Natalie will allow it.

My feet his the floor, as I stand up walking to my bathroom getting into the shower.

Time Skip...

"See aren't you happy I dragged you with me? You can show off the new bikini you bought, all the shirtless guys we can handle, and we can get a good tan going." Nat says as she lays on a towel in her bikini trying to tan.

"Thrilled." I reply doing the same as her.

Robert's POV

"One sec, let me go give Indio a heads up." I remove my arm from Susan's shoulder and I walk into the arcade my son said he'd be in. It only takes me a moment to spot him as he stands near one of the games... talking to a girl? A huge grin takes over my face as I get closer.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt." Both of them look at me. Indio rolls his eyes barley, but enough for me to take notice. The girl continues to share her warm smile.

Right, it's not cool for your dad to interrupt while you're talking to a girl... my bad.

"What's up?" Indio asks on edge.
