Jess' POV

'Hello? I'm sorry miss, I don't mean to disturb you but... Are you okay? Do you need help?'

I wipe my tears before lifting my head up to look at the owner of the soft and soothing male voice talking to me, a complete stranger, and asking if I'm okay. I mean who does that?

'Jess?' He asks.

'Hi!'

'Oh my god! What's wrong? Why are you crying?'

He hurryingly sits next to me and wraps his arms around me pulling me into a hug as I continued crying into his chest.

'I'm sorry, you were jogging, I don't mean to disturb you. I'll go.' I say trying to stand up.

'Nonsense! I'm not letting you go before I see a genuinely happy smile on your face.

I smile softly at him.

'Close, but not quite what I want. Please tell me what's wrong so that I can help you.'

'Oh, Harry... I'm not sure you can. A lot has happened since the last time I saw you!'

'Okay... Then why don't you catch me up? Last time I saw you, Niall and you were hitting it off quite well! What happened to that?'

After catching him up with everything, Niall drunkenly kissing me and running away then pretending nothing happened. Me confronting him, him telling me that he likes me but doesn't want a relationship. Me kicking him out. Me thinking I've moved on and dating Ashton. Me going to LA for a month to be with Ashton. Me running into Niall and becoming friends again thus eventually ending my relationship with Ashton. Me crying about it to Niall, forcibly kissing him resulting in Niall telling me that he doesn't want to speak to me for a while. Coming back to LA, getting drunk in front of Liam and again, drunkenly trying to kiss him.

'You must think the worst of me. I do...'

'It's not as bad as you made it out to be in your head. Your relationship with Ashton was nice and true, you weren't lying to him, you weren't conscious of your feelings for Niall. It had to end to make way to better things.'

'Okay, but'

'Oh, I'm not finished yet.'

'Sorry... Go ahead.'

'Where was I? Yes, Liam. I understand you feel embarrassed. But It'll be okay. Just go talk to him, apologise for your behaviour even though he already knows it and it's really not something to be worried about. It'll be fine. Things like that happen. It' really not that big a deal. Besides, nothing happened. So don't stress yourself about it.'

'Okay, thank you, Harry!'

'One more thing! Seriously why are you trying to get rid of me? I'm just trying to help you here!' He chuckles softly.

'I know! And I appreciate it! Like really! Thank you so much! But I interrupted your jog...'

'It's okay! I'm a bit early anyway. So it can wait. Making sure you're okay is more important than delaying my jog for a while.  Don't worry about it. Can I continue now?'

'Yeah... Sorry.'

'About Niall. This is the big one. This is not something to be messed with. Not for a third time anyway. Look, I've known Niall for what? Almost 9 years? I've watched him grow up, I've watched him fall in and out of love and I've seen his heart breaks. I understand where he's coming from. I understand his fear. But I also see you, how loving and caring you are. You can't define yourself by your mistakes. Learn from them and grow above them. I probably don't know you as much as Louis does. But I know enough about you to trust his instinct. You and Niall are meant to be together. And he needs to get over his fears, and you have to help him to that. But you can't de that while you're a mess. You need to get yourself together, remember the strong woman I know you are. And when you're ready, you have to talk to him, apologise for your behaviour because I'm sorry but you know that the way you approached the topic was not okay. And then slowly, with time, give him the strength, the courage to overcome his fear and realise that it's not gonna be the same with you as his other relationships. It's not necessarily doomed for failure. And most importantly, you're worth the risk! I mean he taught you to take risks and especially when it comes to love, but he's not taking his own advice! So be there for him, show him the way. And you'll finally find each other. But remember, you come first. So take care of you, and then seek him and fix it. Now I'm done!'

'You really think that Niall and I should be together? I mean isn't everything that just happened a sign that we shouldn't?'

'I don't believe in signs. I believe in what we want and doing everything we can to achieve it. I can't tell you how you feel about Niall. And I shouldn't even tell you how he feels about you. It's up to you to figure it out. But I really hope you do. Because us, the people on the outside, Louis, Liam and me, we see you two the way you two don't see yourselves. So I guess it's clearer for us than for you. You have to figure it out, what you want your relationship with Niall to be.'

'Yeah, you're right. I have a lot of thinking to do!'

'You do. But don't forget your health, be it physical or mental, it always comes first.'

'Yes, Thank you, Harry! It means a lot that you're here calming me down. I was really in a bad place for the last day or two. And you helped me see more light. Thank you for that.'

'No need to thank me, darling, I'm happy to help. So what are you going to do next?'

'Well, my priority is to finish the book. I have a deadline at the end of next week.'

'Oh, how's that going by the way?'

'Great! I'm almost done with the first draft!'

'That's amazing! I'm sure they're gonna love it! And when they do, how long till it gets published?'

'Well, they're in a hurry. They said the re-writes should be done within a month after I give then the first draft. And after that, there's still some work to do. But They're aiming at a September-October release.'

'Oh, in Two months then. Perfect! Good luck with everything Jess!'

'Thank you so much, Harry!'

'You're welcome! Did you have breakfast yet? We could go eat something if you want?'

'Actually, I already ate on my way here, and you have a jog to finish.'

'Right! Almost forgot! How did you get here by the way? Did you mean to come here I mean?'

'No I just was on the tube randomly for about an hour. Found myself here. Guess I'm lucky!'

'Yeah! Me too! It was really nice seeing you, although I wish it was on better circumstances!'

'Yeah... I should probably go home, talk to Liam.'

'Yeah, you probably should! But hey, see you soon?'

'Of course! Whenever you're free just come over! Or I don't know, text me first in case I wasn't there.'

'I actually don't have your number!'

After exchanging numbers, he adds, 'Text me what happens to Liam. And if he or anyone else is giving you any trouble, or you just need to rant and you're alone, you can always text or call me whenever.'

'Thank you, Harry! I'm always here if you need anything. Literally anything. Even at 3 am and I'm asleep.'

'I hope it won't come to that! I'd hate to wake you up in the middle of the night.' He chuckles.

'Even if I'm cranky, I'd be happy to help!'

'Aww, you're so sweet.'

'Yeah I know I'm adorable!' I say smiling widely.

'There it is! The smile I've been waiting for! Now I feel better about leaving you! Are you sure you don't need a ride back to the city?'

'Yeah, I'm sure! Thanks though. Have fun on your jog!'

'Take care Jess! Bye!'

'Bye Harry!'
