Hikaru's pov
When we got downstairs the house was empty, the maids probably not used to us being up so early. I looked over at Yuki and grabbed his hand, intertwining our fingers. I saw a small smile crawl on his face, making me more than satisfied.
I felt his bandages brush past my own, but didn't comment on it, wanting to let him have a peaceful breakfast before we would bring it up. I looked up so I could look at Kaoru, giving him a look to say not to ask anything yet. He nods and starts walking to the kitchen a little faster so he could grab the bowls and cereal.
I led Yuki to the table and let him sit down. I was still holding his hand while my thumb was drawing circles on his hand. I felt Yuki's head on my shoulder as he leaned on me while we waited for Kaoru. Kaoru had set down all that we needed for breakfast not too long after, making Yuki let go of my hand and sit straight again.
We all ate in comfortable silence. When we were all done eating I let Kaoru take Yuki upstairs again while I cleaned up. (More like just putting all the dirty dishes in the sink and put the milk and cereal back in their respective places.) After I was done I made my way to our room, opening the door to see Yuki cuddled up against Kaoru's. I smile and close the door behind me, walking over to the two and sitting next to Yuki.
I didn't want to start talking, not when he looked so content, but I knew I had to do it. I lifted my hand over to Yuki's head and gently went through his hair, seeing a smile crawl up his face again. "Yuki?" I ask while still looking at him, hoping to get his attention. He slowly sits up and looks at me, probably already knowing what I wanted to talk about. I see him lean all his weight on Kaoru's chest in exhaustion, Kaoru's hands almost immediately wrapping around his waist and pulling him closer.
I take a deep breath and gently grab Yuki's bandaged hand and intertwining our fingers, drawing on his hand with my thumb. "What happened? Is it something at home?" I finally manage to ask, looking into Yuki's chocolate brown eyes. I see him flinch a little when I mention his home, making my worry increase tenfold. I can see that he's worried, but I don't know why, we would never force him to talk.
I gently grab his chin and make him look into my eyes "You know we would never force you to tell us right?" I ask as I see his eyes get teary, making me immediately let him go. I feel his hand tightly grab mine and I see Kaoru's hold on him tighten. He gently grabs my arm and pulls me forward so that he can hug me, making my heart quench. "I can't tell you, I'm sorry" he whispers the last two words. "Don't be sorry, It's not your fault" I whisper in his ear as I comb my hand through his hair, trying to calm him down.
"It's alright, you don't have to tell us now" Kaoru whispers in a gentle manner, his thumb was comfortingly drawing circles on his stomach. I look over Yuki's head and make eye-contact with Koaru, silently agreeing that we'll take him home. I hummed softly while softly tapping Yuki's hands to get his attention, when he looked up at me I started talking "do you want us to take you home now?" I see him looking away and nodding slowly, "yes.." and hesitantly looking back up.
Kaoru's pov
After we all got dressed I called for one of our family limousines, Yuki's stuff in my hands while we stepped into the back. Hikaru kept making eye contact with me, he had probably also noticed that Yuki was reluctant to look at us when he talked about home.
We all got seated, Yuki sitting in between Hikaru and me. I felt Yuki's head lean on my shoulder when the limousine started to move, making me look over at him with a small smile. He smiled weakly back at me, both his hands holding ours. I saw that we were both drawing circles on his hand, probably both hoping that he would calm down a little. Even though he didn't say anything, we got enough signs that he didn't want to and didn't feel comfortable going back home.
After about 15 minutes we got to his house, making Yuki immediately stiffen up. Hikaru and I both gave the hand we were holding a gentle squeeze. He softly gave both our hands a soft squeeze back before he decided to grab his stuff and open the limousine door. I grabbed his hand right before he stepped out, making him look at me. I saw a flash of fear in his eyes when he heard the front door shoot open, making my grip on his hand tighten. Hikaru was now sitting directly behind me, ready to take action if anything happened.
"Why did you run away you bastard!" I suddenly heard his father scream. I'm almost immediately pushed away by Hikaru so that he could get in front of Yuki. His father, however, didn't care, his eyes were set on Yuki, filled to the brim with rage.
His father pushed Hikaru away and almost immediately hit Yuki, making Yuki fall against Hikaru's chest. My eyes widened at the scene in front of me, not knowing what to do.
I quickly grabbed my phone and-
