Helloooo peopleeeeee. It's been a while. How's life? Let me know :). Here ya go!

Keith's P.O.V

Sure, I was out of it. But I wasn't out of it enough to not understand that Lance was trying to be nice.

However, that doesn't mean what he said didn't hurt.

Like I said earlier, Lance could be a cool dude. He was friendly, kind, understanding, and had a great sense of humour. He was essentially the guy who kept the team sane and stopped us from becoming mindless warriors with no happiness left. Lance was almost the perfect person.

Almost.

What I've noticed about Lance is he doesn't really notice when he's pushed something too far. He doesn't understand that sometimes a harmless joke for one person can be a hurtful to another. For example, for most, being told that no one wants to talk to you because you're closed off and look unapproachable might not be a big deal for most, but for someone who's been abandoned multiple times and called names like "dropout", "hothead", "a discipline case" and many more, that kinda advice might have a big impact.

I don't know if I want to forgive him seeing he obviously meant no harm, but it was still a mean thing to say. To be honest, I don't really know why I'm bother-

"I can tell you're internally talking to yourself." Shiro interrupted, making me jump. I rolled over to see Shiro holding a bowl of soup and a spoon in his hands.

"Since when did you come in here?" I asked, sitting up.

"A few minutes ago. I'm surprised you didn't hear me." Shiro replied, putting the bowl of soup on my lap. "I thought Lance would've been in here but I guess not."

A frown automatically fell on my face at the sound of Lance's name. I hoped Shiro didn't notice but the look he gave me told me otherwise.

"C'mon, what happened? I know that look when I see it." Shiro commented.

"I don't even know what happened. It's not that big of a deal." I mumbled, taking a sip of my soup. The flavour was strange, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

"Well clearly it's bothering you seeing you made that face."

"I asked him how he was so good at talking to people seeing whenever I talk to people they look like they just don't even want to be near me. He told me I don't always look approachable and I'm not open enough and I didn't like it." I angrily dropped my spoon in my soup, wincing when hot liquid splashed onto my hand.

"Do you agree with him though?"

"Well... yeah... But that wasn't exactly helpful! I can't just change the way I look!"

"Was he referring to looks or like... posture?"

"Well probably posture... but it- he was- It made- UGHH." I grumbled and crossed my arms.

"So would you agree that maybe you over reacted?" Shiro asked, prodding at the soup gently.

"No because he told me that maybe people just don't want to talk to me." I retorted, drinking a little more of the soup.

"Okay, so that was mean on his part. But still, you both need to talk stuff out instead of just ignoring each other."

"In my defence, I'm not ignoring him. He left my room."

"Did you tell him to?"

"Yeah... but I was tired and I needed to sleep!"

"Keith." Shiro gave me the 'don't-mess-with-space-dad' look.

"Okay okay I'm sorry."

"It's not me you should be apologising to. It's Lance." Shiro said as I finished the soup and gave the bowl back to him. What can I say? I drink soup quickly.

"Fine fine. Tell him to come in here or something..." I mumbled, lying back down on my side. I felt my eyelids starting to get heavy.

"Well by the time I've got him you'll be asleep." Shiro pointed out. "This whole illness thing makes you really sleepy, huh?"

"Mmm no.. I'll be fine. Just go get Lance." I said, rolling onto my other side. I was just going to close my eyes for a second...

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

"Keith? Keeeeith~?"

I felt a finger poke my cheek repeatedly and a warm breath against my ear. I swatted it away and turned over, pulling the covers up over my face.

"C'mon Keith, wake up. Shiro told me you said you'd stay awake."

"I don' wanna." I mumbled back. Why was this person trying to wake me up when I was so tired?

"C'mon Keithy boy. It's time to wake up~."

"Go 'way 'm sleepin'." I felt the cool air as the covers were pulled away from me and someone gently push my hair out of my closed eyes.

"I can't apologise to you if you're not cooperating." The person pointed out. I opened my eyes slightly to see Lance smiling warmly at me, one hand resting on my cheek.

"Apol'gy accep'ed. Now go 'way." I replied, closing my eyes again.

"Too bad mullet, I'm not leaving. I need to explain myself." Lance took a deep breath. "What I said was hurtful, especially that last part. I'm really sorry about that. I wasn't thinking about how you'd take it. I know you're not a social person and that's not a bad thing. If you want I can help you in terms with talking with people. Does that sound alright?"

Even in my half delirious state, I still managed to get Lance's message. I opened my eyes again and gave him a small smile.

"Yeah, okay. I forgive you. 'm sorry for over reacting."

"It's okay. Also, you should really smile more, dude." Lance said, giving me his brightest smile. I felt my face heat up and my smile drop.

"Not. A. Chance."

All of a sudden, Coran burst in the room.

"Hello Number Three and Four! I've managed to come in contact with a doctor that might have a possible healing method for this illness! He'll be here in about two vargas." Coran announced loudly, making me put my hands over my ears.

"Okay uhh.. thanks Coran." Lance said, smiling awkwardly. Coran exited the room with a skip in his step.

"Now I get examined by a creepy doctor? Great." I grumbled, pulling the covers back over my face.

"Hey, that's rude. They might not be creepy. They might be super kind and caring."

Boy was Lance wrong.

And this is where the book starts wrapping itself up slowly but surely. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!
