Thank you for reaching the last chapter of In Between. This is Raz' POV. I am not really sure if I did well to pull off his thoughts. I hope you still enjoy this one! This is so far the longest chapter I've ever written. I can't thank you enough for all the comments and the support you've given to the characters. I hope to see you on the Epilogue! Thank you so much!

Kabanata 50

Beginning

Grandma:
Raz, it's too late. I don't want you to miss dinner.

Mother:
Did you already finish your homework? Come home now.

Mase:
Mum's a bit angry. Seriously, Raz, you need to go home.

I sucked the joints between my two fingers. The smoke caging my lungs as I exhaled mostly of it competently. Drunken people passed in and out Robin's family den - a schoolmate from Westminster. I stared long while trying to get a hold of myself inside their kitchen. Sitting at the edge of the counter, beside a refrigerator, smoke from the cigarettes created a filmy haze and the loud music blasting through the speakers. My ears bled at its infuriating sound.

Robin usually has house party at Wednesday because his parents are always busy to plan their next vacation or date. That means, they typically have the couple night out. What mostly lovely and in love married pair do, and the things you do for adoration and family. And some can't relate.

"Lad -"

Bloody hell.

I coughed into my fist while the smoke imprisoned my lungs to my throat. I honed in on to someone and shot a dagger look. The one with I'd murder you in your sleep because you get on my way. My lips curled in irritation and my hand gripped my cell. I believed, I heard a crack beneath my palm. And it stung.

"W-what? I'd just come to see if you're really pissing it up," Robin said in deep and crisp accent, raising both of his hands in the air even the right hand is occupied with beer. His body is not near with mine so I can't grab him and bush his face on the counter. "You're a serious twat, lad." He smile into laugh.

My features stayed sharp. I didn't recoil and so was he.

Still wearing the school's uniform, Robin gave me a lopsided grin. He's popular to school because he's part of the Lacrosse First Boys'. And surely and respectfully, I don't give a damn about school and its stuff. I just need a place where I can really be alone and his place is available with beers and joints. It is just really so stupid to be here because most of the school's known faces are here.

"Loosen up," he said, offering the piss.

I snatched and drank it straightly. The piss didn't burn my throat as I stayed unflinching to Robin. He shrugged nonchalantly, and suddenly his eyes left mine when the most popular girl in the school stopped beside him. He whistled silently as my I pulled off my favorite signature - blank slate of emotion in front of Sophia. Robin muttered under his breath but I didn't catch his words.

I jumped shortly and stood up. I leaned on the edge of the counter and cocked a brow. Sophia's skin is glistening with glitters as I looked down on her. Her lips curved upward in flirtation. In her cheerleader's uniform of Westminster, composing of red sleeve shirt imprinted the school's logo and short skirt, she crossed her gangly arms. She tapped her right foot and words escaped her newly painted lips with gloss, "Genesis, I'd thought you will not come." She gave me a long once-over, mouth pouting in anticipation for a flirty retort. I don't have any today.

I am not in the mood of anything right now.

Bloody.

Hell.
