As soon as I get to my desk, I began to search 'things to do before you die'. A billion things pop up. I begin to write down things that interest me.
1- Fall in love
2- Spend too much money
3- Break the law
I started to get hungry, so I leave my computer to get food. My mom is already downstairs. She's writing something down. Taxes maybe? A ping of guilt goes through me. She's probably paying for my medical bill. She gets up and jumps when she sees me.
"Oh, god Tammy! You scared me!" she says through laughs.
"Haha, yep." I say, blandly.
"So how's not laying on the couch doing?"
"Good I guess."
"What are you doing?" she asks
"A list." I say
"Oh really? And I suppose there's some bad things on there."
"Just a couple."
"I don't know Tammy..." She says "I don't want you getting into trouble."
"Don't worry mom," I mumble
"Okay." It seemed hard for her to decide. "Well, have fun." She forces a smile for me, then leaves the room. I wonder if she's okay with it because she's tired or if she knows it's my only way to live life before I die.
I get my food and head back upstairs. I sit down and think how nice it would be to have a pet. I've always loved dogs. They're so cute! I have no siblings, and I don't go to school anymore. A dog seems perfect.
I get my pen and start writing.
4- Get a dog
