BROKEN (Sequel to Behind The Lights)

Zac's POV

I dropped her home and she was silent the entire car ride. I knew it wasn't because she was heartbroken. It was simply because she felt guilty for  breaking that dudes heart. I forgot what his name was. Whatever it is, she's finally mine, she told me she loved me. This was the first time she's ever said it. I mean, I always had a feeling that she had strong feelings for me too, but hearing it come out of her very mouth, That was all the assurance I needed.

I can't believe she's finally mine. She hasn't said it yet, but it's pretty obvious. Although, this wasn't how I imagined it to be though, I imagined, she would run into my arms and we would kiss for the first time, properly. And she would smile and tell me that she loved me, but I'm not gonna complain. I did put her in a difficult situation and I had no choice.

The truth is, when I went back to England, I got asked to be apart of the opening of a new record label and I was offered a job to be a judge on the new season of the XFactor UK. Two very good opportunities and it would be great to take a break from writing, composing, recording, touring and repeat.  But that meant that I would be in England for God knows how long. I wasn't ready to be separated from her like that unless I knew, this was it and we don't stand a chance ever. Moving back to England and working on all this, would have been the perfect distraction from her and maybe I would finally be able to move on.

But now, I'm willing to drop it and be with her because she matters way more to me. However, I'm still considering the XFactor UK though. It's only for a year and I'll be able to still travel back and forth. I guess we'll see.

Jessica's POV

I wake up in my bed with a massive headache. I take a look at the clock by my beside and it's 10am. Damn, I was asleep for along time. I think, all the crying from yesterday really exhausted me. My mind immediately plays the events of yesterday evening at the airport. I really broke Andre's heart. He's been nothing but amazing to me and I really hurt him. He didn't deserve any of that.

I climb out of bed to find something for my headache. I go down to the kitchen to find something to eat before I consume the aspirin. I managed to find an apple in the fridge and immediately cut it in half, eating the other half as fast as I could and then proceeding to take some aspirin.

My mind soon drifts to Zac. We're at a pretty weird place, I mean, I told him I loved him, for the first time and he said the same for like the hundredth time, but where do we go from here? Do we date? Are we already in a relationship? I mean, I've known him forever now, and we've crossed a lot of boundaries except a romantic one. *ding dong* the ringing of my doorbell, pulls me out of my thoughts.

"Ms. Red," Clara, Andre's PA says, standing in front of my door with my luggage. Shit!

"Oh, hey Clara. Would you like to come in?" I ask her, nervously. Not knowing how exactly to talk to her cause she's definitely aware that I just broke up with her boss.

"No, it's fine. I just came to pass you your luggage." She says, equally uncomfortable.

"How's Andre?" I ask her, I just had to know if he was doing alright.

"Not too good but he's in Italy you know, the city of love, so.." she shrugs

"Paris is the city of love." I correct her. "Anyway...".

"He really loved you, you know?" She cuts me off. "He was looking to buy a house for the both of you and he was going to propose." She says in a sad tone.

"Huh? Propose? We... we weren't even together for that long." I tell her.

"Yea, but he thought you guys were headed in that direction, I mean, it did look like you guys were really in love." She says.
