One-Shot Requests (ON HOLD)

Arthur's note: I feel so bad! I haven't been sticking to my schedule and I have delayed this one-shot for weeks! I'm sorry laluna_maesolano for putting this off for a numer of reasons (mainly phone issues and homework) but it's here now. So I hope you enjoy it.

(Your P.O.V)

You were in the Autobot Base while the Autobots were out fighting against Megatron and his Decepticons. Though they didn't seem hopeful before they left. You were praying for their safe return.

Suddenly, Raf activated the Groundbridge allowing the bots to come back. First entered Optimus. Then Arcee. Then Ratchet. And last but not least, Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Smokescreen. But the youngest bot was being carried in by the others. You and the other humans stand up in worry.

Ratchet rushes Smokescreen to the sickbay to hopefully be treated, but he already knew the outcome. Optimus walked straight to his quarters.

Shocked, you and Miko ran over to the others to get some much needed answers.

"What happened?" you ask.

"The Cons had weapons and were prepared for us. They lured us to the old energon mines only to blow it up," Arcee started.

"But Megatron held him back, and I don't know how, but Megatron survived with no injuries, but Smokescreen..."

Miko gasped. "Oh no..."

Bumblebee nodded as he buzzed sadly.

You were about to explode. "How does he do this! How could he do this!"

Ratchet interrupted you. "Calm down, (Y/N)!"

You took a deep breath in. "I'm sorry."

You look towards Optimus' quarters, the door was shut and no light was shining through the gaps. You knew you had to speak to him. But before you could take a step...

"NO!" Ratchet yelled.

You all turned to see the medic pounding the monitor which was watching over Smokescreen. You knew why.

He turned to face the team then lowered his head, followed by everyone else.

Now you had to go and see Optimus...

The Prime was just sitting on his berth with the lights off, just staring at the ground.

You walked in and climbed up to a platform with a lightswitch, which you turn on. Allowing the lights to glow in the room like stars and enlightening Optimus' protoform.

"It's a bit dark in here, isn't it?" you asked with a smile.

Optimus didn't reply, he just closed his optics.

"Look, I know, Smokescreen is... you know, but you can't blame yourself," you explained. "It was Megatron's fault. Not yours."

"I should have protected him, I should have made sure he was out, but I didn't. Some Prime I turned out to be."

You climbed down from the platform then began strolling over to Optimus as you spoke. "Don't say that. You've done many great things as a Prime. Like that time when you defeated Unicron, or when you gathered the Omega Keys, or when you saved Raf, Jack and Miko from being released on Cybertron by sacrificing the Omega Keys."

He didn't respond, but he did look towards you, the edges of his mouth lifting ever so slightly.

"You are capable of and have done amazing things. And sure, you've lost a few in past, but Cliffjumper and Smokescreen would want you to continue fighting." You folded your arms. "Besides, they were great too, and we both know that they'll be watching over us from above, in the Well of Allsparks because they believe in you. The team believe in you." You paused. "I believe in you."

Optimus stood up, then knelt down to your level with a light smile on his faceplate. "Thank you, (Y/N)"

You nodded your head before allowing Optimus to pick you up and placed you on his shoulder. Then he walked out of the room to join the rest of the team so that he could make them feel the same way you made him feel.
