A Programmer's Reincarnation

You already know me so let's skip that part. It has almost been a year since I started learning Magic and now I have turned five. 

Although I had practiced magic for a year I still haven't got any chance to practically use magic. 

Even though I have got into mock battles with teaching and master before but it was nowhere near real battle because it was just training after all.

So I requested Father to let me go to the nearby forest for hunting. He agreed but on one condition and that was that I cannot enter forest until I turn 5. And now that I have turned 5 I can finally use magic against beasts like in games.

|| Alven you ready.
Master asked

|| Yes.

And we set out to the forest. the forest we are heading to is called Eldritch forest. I didn't understand why this name until I saw the forest. It was indeed a scary-looking forest. The trees were very big and dense, it was as if the ground would not be able to see sunlight its whole life.

For today's hunt, I am wearing a leather armor which is light and easy to move in. It is enchanted by master himself to make it more durable.

|| Ok Alven from here onward we will be walking to avoid driving the attention of the beasts in the forest.

|| Yes teach

[Search] is simple magic that is very useful when hunting. For this first you spread Mana around yourself in a circle and then it returns to you after striking any beast and thus you can track their location. It's similar to radar and that's why it was easier for me to understand it.

|| Alven remember not to use too much mana or else you will expose our location to the beast.

|| Yes master

Then I closed my eyes and spread my mana. I had used this magic many times before but this time the feeling I was getting was completely different. I could sense everything from small creatures to large creature and magical herbs.

|| Master there is one beast about 300 meters towards the north.

|| Alven you sure

|| Yes Teach.

|| So let's go towards them. Alven since this is your first time you should observe this time.

Master said and we started advancing towards them.
