"Oh Y/N, it's beautiful!"
Spinel turned the pools of water, as they glimmered in its azure beauty. She ran forward, like we done before. I followed. Suddenly, Spinel jumped, her legs stretching like a concertina and jumped in water. Water went everywhere, my face being splashed with the quality H20. She chuckled, her Rosewood hair dripping wet in the white light. Across the room, I saw the coral laughing sweetly and the Lapis Lazuli scowling, her hair now soaked.
"Spinel!" I leant down to the water, looking into her mauve eyes.
With out hesitation, Spinel grabbed my hand and tugged. I screeched as I fell into the water, while Spinel exploded with a joyous laugh. I went under water, gasping before I was subducted.
"Spinel! I-"
"Oh, Y/N, you're all wet" she giggled. Aquamarine watched in disgust from behind us, before sighing and taking the bags to the room. The lapis lazuli left the room, and the coral continued watering the plants.
I got out and dipped my feet in the pool. It was lukewarm and was as clear as glass. Spinel lay back and went underwater. She started somersaulting at the bottom. I could hear the soft noise of drickling water that filled the room.
I walked towards the room we were staying, the marine hall stretching out in front of me. The room was half way down the hallway and I took a while it get there, but eventually I entered. Immediately, I was puffed with steam. I looked around at the room, it was cyan and by the door stood 2 Topazes. Like Yeoman warders, they stood and watched the room. I turned to them, confused.
"I- I- urmmmm"
"My human, i have been assigned to guard the room."
"I- just... Ok..." I looked around confused.
"You want us to guard outside?" She smiled, looking down at me.
"I could, just dismiss you all together."
"What? But what would we do?" She turned to the other topaz.
"Just go and chill, by the water"
They left the room, their eyes filled with enjoyment.
Spinel walked in, confused.
"What was that about Y/N?" She asked, jumped on the bed in the corner.
"Oh, nothing..." I replied, lying down on the bed.
Dozing off, I saw Spinel jumping next to me, her magenta gem glimmering.
I woke up and the room was still and dark. Everything turned a navy blue and Spinel was no where to be seen. I stood up and looked around, heading towards the door. I could hear the distant noise noise of a party's laugh down the opposite of the hallway. Continuing down the hallway, it seemed to be getting bigger and eerier. But then, a piercing light blared from down the hall way. Covering my eyes, I walked towards the light and walked in.
Blue diamond there, laughing while Spinel was juggling 4 pink bubbles, grinning. The two Topazes sat in the pool, splashing each other. There were more gems there as well, some zoo Amethsyt and skinny Jasper. Blue pearl and Coral playing with them, While the Lapis Lazuli was blowing bubbles reluctantly. Aquamarine sat next to her, smiling, but trying to hide her enjoyment.
Running over to me, Spinel laughed rather maniacly, but it was laced with good intention.
"Y/N! You're awake!" She jumped over to me, pulling me over to talk to Blue diamond.
"What happen?" I asked
"While you were sleeping, Blue Diamond came to visit. Looking up I at her, shewaved at me, a bit shyly.
"Hello, Y/N. Spinel was very excite to introduce you!" She bent down to look at me. I didn't really know to respond, so I bowed. She giggled and informed me that wouldn't be necessary.
"So, Y/N, how did you meet Spinel?"
"Oh, you know, she tried to destroy the planet I lived on, We became friends. You know, the usual"
Blue laughed sweetly and sat back up, looking around.
"Don't tell Yellow, I told you this, but..." She bent down again, Spinel hugging my arm. "You're going to go to her colony tomorrow, after breakfast. It's mars" she smiled, sitting up looking us. Mention of breakfast made me hungry, but I waited patiently.
As we continued to talk and play with Blue Diamond and the others, I became hungrier and hungrier. Spinel had obviously noticed, as she extend her head up to Blue Diamond and whispered something. Turning to be, she gave a reassuring smile and stood up.
Immediately, the gems stood to attention. Spinel grabbed my hand as we followed her out of the hallway. We can to a room, various breakfast food laid out onto the table. Spinel went over to some shot of sugary cereal, Blue just watched. The other gems went to get food, except the Lapis Lazuli. She doesn't eat. I went over and put some pastries on a silver plate.
I sat down next to Spinel and started eating. She happily ate, her legs swing back and forth.
"I wish I could of stayed here longer..." I said, melancholic.
"Well, we can do some more things before we leave. There's a greenhouse on the otherwise of the planet, we could play hide and seek in there. It's also got hammocks and swings. Pink used to play there."
She looked out into the distance. Comfortingly, I held her hand.
"You don't have to think about her, she's gone now..."
"It's hard, I want to see her again, I just...." Her tears forming in her eyes. "No, It's fine. We're here in the future and I don't need her."
Spinel sniffed as I wiped her eyes, her giggle ringing like a bell. If Spinel's laugh was like a small bell, sweet and tinkly, Blue Diamond's laugh was like a church bell, loud yet benevolent.
We warped to the green house and walked around, looking at the plants. Some were hanging, some were planted, some were straight and some were slanted. Some were large and and some were small, some were squat and some were tall.
We started playing, I counted first and found Spinel easily. She stood behind me. I hid next, behind a bench. We had played for an hour or two before we warped back. While on the warped, she kissed me. I blushed excessively as we came into the room. Blue was telling the gems a story.
"Are you two ready yet?" Aquamarine stood their, holding our suit cases.
"All set" Spinel replied.
