"Giddy up, Giddy up giddy up." Leira muttered following the song played on tv as she throw some cheese on her sandwiches for her breakfast.

She yawned but froze when she heard the door upstairs closes. She stayed frozen for a few seconds and relaxed as she remembered.

"Oh right, Kai." She starts cutting the tomatoes carefully but that lasted for a second before she paused again.

"Wait, I thought they went to work together?"

"Why are you holding the knife like that?"

"Potential defense weapon- oh. It is you then." Leira resumed cutting her tomatoes. Kai chuckled lightly and sat on the stool at the kitchen island counter.

He was wearing the usual white shirt with a pair of formal beige colored pants. His tie was loose as he wanted to be comfortable for awhile before being stuck with it the whole day.

"Coffee?" She asked when she wrapped up all of her sandwiches neatly. She took off her apron and straightened up her outfit. She picked off the bread crumbs on her top. Kai smiled at her get up.

Its always nice to see people with good fashion sense. Leira's black colored fitted long sleeve crop top with a high waisted loose jeans really compliments her waist.

"With hundred pumps of sugar syrup."

"Honey, today hasn't even started yet and you still looked like you haven't slept in a year."

"Give me one reason I should still be a doctor." Kai groaned. Leira put the cup of coffee in front of him.

"You fix bones and thats nice."

"Wow, now I feel motivated to work. Thanks, Lei." Kai said sarcastically while Leira just smiled cheekily.

Her phone pings when she put her sandwiches inside her bag. She let out an unintended sigh.

"What could possibly makes Miss Lei here sigh right in front of her sandwich?" Kai said interestedly making Leira made a face at him.

"I'm going. You go to work, Doctor. Here, have some sandwich."

"Thanks. I'm too lazy to go out to have lunch."

"How can you be lazy to eat? Its food." Leira said cocking up her eyebrow.

"Please, there's unlimited food in my office."

"Let me guess, it's cuz you don't share."

"Bingo, Lei. Bingo." Kai winked at her playfully.

"Good job Doctor Kai." Leira chuckled and head to the door. Kai followed suit and walked besides her.

"Thank you thank you."

"Quick question."

"I love Lei's questions time."

"Right, how come you can leave late to work? Is your dad the one who runs the hospital or what?"

"That's two questions. I can only answer one." Kai said jokingly. Lei narrowed her eyes at him.

"Ok haha, bye Kai." Lei laughed and walked out of the gate of their house but Kai pulled her back.

"Come, I'll drop you off. We live in the same house, I should do my part." He grinned and lead her to the passenger side of his car.

"Looks like I'll be arriving at campus faster than usual." Leira snorted.
