"Hey."

Seungwoo looked up and looked back down to his phone.

"Wow."

Kai sat down in front of him with his coffee.

"What is this? The good Dr Han ignoring his colleague?"

"What do you want?" Seungwoo put down his phone and sips into his latte.

The coffee shop was quiet since there weren't much people in the morning.

"Just saying hi." Kai shrugged. Seungwoo almost let out a chuckle at that.

"Go back to your office and eat alone."

"Ouch, so mean. I'm not Taemin."

"I might have to start talk nicer to him instead of you." Seungwoo nodded. Kai just grinned playfully at him.

"Lei is going to Japan tomorrow by the way. You didn't forget about that, did you?"

Seungwoo hummed.

"I know."

"Dr Han, son."

Both of the young doctors looked up when the head of hospital came to their table.

"Sir." Seungwoo greeted him with a smile.

"Have you heard about my son's engagement?" The HD patted Kai's shoulder proudly.

Seungwoo nodded hesitantly.

"I know you two had been close friends since college so I wanted to invite you to the engagement party next week, can you make it?"

Kai tensed at that.

"I'll have to check my shifts first, sir." Seungwoo replied good naturally. The HD hummed understandingly.

"We have an...engagement party?"

His father nodded. Kai shook his head subtly at him and he just waved him off, leaving.

"Oh right."

Kai turned back at his father, scratching his nape unpurposely.

"How about you take Leira out on a dinner today?"

"My shift ends tomorrow, abeoji."

"Lunch then." Kai's father said lightly like it's an obvious solution. He raised his eyebrows briefly and Kai can't help but to nod.

As soon as he stepped out of the cafe, Seungwoo's eyes narrowed at the male in front of him.

"Don't look at me, I had no idea they wanted to do this."

"Of course you don't. You sure you're not rubbing it to my face?"

Kai pushed his hair back as he think.
