"We've been to more than 10 places, Kai. Your date idea is very energetic to this kinda lethargic woman." Leira said pointedly.

"I'm giving you different vibes in dates since you've never been to a proper one." Kai fought back.

Leira scoffed playfully.

"Yes I have- whoa. Damn you outdone yourself. Don't you have work? I barely got any time to-"

"Bro, can you shut up?" Kai said making Leira laugh. She turned to look around the park with fairy lights in the trees making the place looked like in the fairytales.

"I seriously don't get it myself. Why do I fall for you this hard?"

Leira smiled softly.

"I told you to stop liking me, Kai."

"You really can't try to accept me huh? Ouch." Kai reach out to hold her hand.

"I tried to but I soon realize that I'm heartless."

"I gave my heart to that person so it's pointless to ask me to marry you." Leira held both of his hands. She looked at him apologetically.

"You knew huh? You sneaky woman." Kai chuckled. Leira pursued her lips.

"Like father like daughter. He followed me everywhere, he didn't even know that I sent someone to that lunch."

"I guess I really have to get over you. Should I go for Chae?"

"Eh, too late. Someone has his eyes on her. Bro why do you always want someone you can't have." Leira playfully nudge him. He made a 'meh' face.

He wrapped his arm around her warmly while sighing like its his last breath.

"This is such a warm rejection, I'm pleased." He said. Leira chuckled.

"I'm basically friend zoning your ass but you're welcome."

Kai rested his arm around her shoulder and snapped his fingers. Leira was confused by the sudden gesture but soon it was answered.

A group of band came out playing romantic instrumental making Leira smiled.

"Cheesy Kai, ew."

"I know, this was my dad's idea."

"They probably think that I said yes. Poor you." Leira patted his shoulder. He shrugged.

"So are you going to find him?"

Leira hummed.

"Nope. I burdened him enough. I'm gonna wait for him."

"You don't know huh." Kai raised his eyebrows. Leira narrowed her eyes at him.

"What?"

"Meh. What if he found someone else along the way?" He said changing the topic.

Leira leaned her head on his shoulder, enjoying the beautiful music. Somehow its a bit sad.

"That is when I can finally say that we weren't meant for each other but till then, I still believe in him."

Seungwoo stretched out tiredly as arrived at the coffee shop. By the looks of the progress, a vaccine should be able to produced in 18 months.

That's way too long in his situation.

Sighing for the up tenth time, he went inside ordering his coffee.
