Here are some "odds and ends" (as my grandmother would say) of some stuff i never posted

His face contorted into what looked like a forced smile. A smile that was supposed to mask his hurt. A smile that was supposed to mask his pain. His heartbreak. His sadness. His grief. He gave a small wave to the people, who smiled back at him, a simple gesture of kindness that could go a long way. As soon as he turned the corner, his face morphed into a saddened expression. Tears were threatening to spill over, and he broke into a run, trying to find a place where he could mourn in silence. He couldn't accept she left. He wasn't good enough for her. Even though she admit she love him. She still left. He sat there, slumped against a tree, tears pouring down his face, soaking through his white shirt. He let out a strangled cry, clenching his hands into fists. "Where are you!?" He screamed. "Why did you leave!?" his voice echoed through the forest, replacing the eerie silence. He smashed his fist against the tree in anger. "Why?!" Over and over, bringing his knuckles to the hard wood. He was running on anger. When that ran out he would be empty; nothing left; incomplete.

heres some older writing lmao it sucks

"Come on, let's go!" I said, grinning as the children's cries of joy and excitement echoed throughout the forest. "Watch the kids at the back." I said, averting my gaze to Lukas for a moment. He gives a curt nod, sauntering over to the back. "Petra, you're with me." She gives me a lopsided grin, fixing her crooked bandana. Probably excited to be doing something fun. I start climbing up the slippery rocks, everyone carefully following behind me. The rhythmic and synchronized footsteps behind me reminded me I wasn't alone, rather leading the group. I got lost in my thoughts, one particular quote coming back to me.

"Sometimes you're leading and you don't know it; You can't see anybody since you're at the front but everyone is counting on you, looking up to you, depending on you. So give it your all."

A meaningful quote it is. I see a sign ahead, growing larger and larger as we approach it.

"Spring peaks - 50 feet ahead"

"Almost there, guys." I said, turning back, and giving them my most reassuring smile. The kids who were lingering in the back looked slightly fatigued, and then there was a group of kids at the front who were all grinning, there childish energy filling the air giving off a positive vibe. I'd bet they would hike for hours for the sake of being with us. After another few minutes we reach our destination, and it's even better then they say it is in those tacky handbooks for travelers. There was the big cliff we were on, more like a mountain of rocks. The sunlight was streaming through the thick of the forest, which was packed with evergreen trees, emitting a lovely scent that smelled like home. The reason why it was called spring peaks is because there was a waterfall at the end of the mountain, and below us was a crystal clear lake. Not to mention the flowers speckled throughout the floor, patches of bright pink flowers, and a vibrant yellow color that reminded me of dandelions but much bigger and elegant.

"Can we take a break here?" I turn my head in the direction of the voice. Lukas. There was sweat forming on his brow, probably because his backpack was half the size of him. And there were two kids grasping onto him, one on each arm. Of course, what did I expect? When it comes to Lukas he's like a child magnet. "Sure." Petra said before I could answer, because even she looked a bit tired. We settled for this area not too far from the waterfall where there was a little gap in between, about a 3 foot gap. If we wanted to continue we'd have to jump over it; I hope it's safe. I watch as Lukas dumps the contents of his bag out on the rocky floor, and now I see why his bag was so big.
