A harsh light slipping through the blinds and into your eyes made waking up painful. You rubbed the sleep from your eyes and looked around the unfamiliar room in a calm manner before the panic of being in someone's room officially set in.
You sat up and looked to the side. Cronus. A sleeping Cronus.
Though you knew nothing happened, you still felt sick. It didn't feel right just when it felt like it would.
You silently got out of the bed and collected your things before heading home on foot.
Sure, it was nice to catch up with an old high school friend, but it seemed like he had problems of his own. He had that Damara girl up in his business, and you had the feeling that if you got too close to him, she would become a problem in your life, too.
You didn't even reach your front door before Cronus began messaging you, but you weren't in the mood to have a conversation. Instead, you went into your bedroom and crashed once more. It wasn't easy sleeping next to a stranger.

"You can't ignore him forever, you know."
"I'm well aware."
You were pacing around the room of one of your clients. Her name was Porrim, and she paid good money for pictures taken of her. It was also safe to say that she doubled as a friend even if all talk was either about business or boy problems.
She stretched herself out on a red leather couch, a light breeze through the window making the curtains behind her mess up the scenery for the picture you were about to take. She sat back up and adjusted the necklace around her neck, sighing slightly.
"How about you put the camera down and take a seat," she said, patting the space beside her. You hesitated for a moment but obliged at once. The leather enveloped you while Porrim smoothed out her tight dress.
"We can always reschedule-"
"No. I know Cronus, and I'm here to... help."
Porrim always had an intimidating aura to her. She seemed so mature and old, yet she was the same age as you. Her blood color was jade, which was pretty high up on the scale, not like that mattered anymore in the day of age you were in. It still made you fidget with the strap of your camera, especially since she knew Cronus.
"From where?" you asked.
"Connections," Porrim explained, a sly smile spreading across her jade stained lips. "I would say it doesn't matter, but it does. I don't know what's on your mind."
"It's just, well," you couldn't think of how to bring any of your worries up. "I already told you how I spent the night- and nothing happened. In the moment, it felt... okay. Weird, but okay, but when I woke up, it all felt wrong."
"Why?"
"Because he mentioned someone named Damara from high school and I overheard them talking again that night and I don't know what I'm doing."
"Ah." Porrim sat back and looked at the ceiling in thought. "Damara. What a lewd specimen."
You quirked a brow.
"See, it does matter. My connections. I don't know much about Cronus, and what I do know is that he is a jerk-off," she continued. "But I can send you to people that know him, and maybe once you learn more about him you'll feel better. Especially from a source that isn't his egotistical self."
You responded with a blank stare. "Well... creepy, but okay."
"You'll thank me." She picked up her phone and began tapping. Your phone buzzed and when you checked it, you realized she texted you a couple numbers with names beside them. It didn't feel right, but it was like a mystery.
The mystery of Cronus Ampora.

Your thumb hovered over the first number once you were alone in your home. Calling a stranger made you anxious. You had no idea what you were getting yourself into, but the risk was exhilarating. You were a small photographer about to go to college, but you knew you were capable of discovery, even if it wasn't necessarily moral.
The silence was almost deafening, so you gave in and called the first number on the list. Each ring made your heart pound, but you were sent to voicemail. It relieved you yet it disappointed you.
When you stared back at your phone you remembered the many messages from Cronus you decided to ignore all day.
CRONUS: wvhere did you go?
CRONUS: did i do somethin? sorry if i did. call me?
CRONUS: wvould it be stupid if i am wvorried about you gettin kidnapped?
CRONUS: at least im not blocked i dont think
CRONUS: cmon babe im not here to hurt you
It made you cringe, but you were going to explain yourself after you tried the rest of the numbers.
The second number picked up, and it took your voice away. What were you going to say, 'Do you know Cronus'? Wouldn't that be weird?
"Who is this?"
You gulped.
"This is (Y/N), friend of Porrim Maryam, and... okay. Do you know Cronus Ampora?"
"Oh. Oh, my."
The grip on your phone tightened. The tone in her voice didn't sound good. Maybe you were going to find out things you didn't really want to know.
"You do, I assume."
"Yeah, okay- Why do you want to know?"
"Because, Ms. Serket, I don't think I actually know him."
