Hiccup x Reader (Race To The Edge)

"Nightshade, dive!" She dove down, avoiding the arrows fired at you. More arrows came sailing your way and you knew there was only one way to avoid them. "Alright, girl. Let's show them our new trick!" She barked and dove into the water. Nightshade had been practicing her underwater swimming with you and now she was very good at swimming under ships and popping out on the other side. 

Nightshade quickly swam under the ship with you holding on tight. She turned and launched out of the water, blasting the ship from the other side. Her blue fire burned the wooden deck as the men shrieked in surprise and panic. You laughed and hurried onto the deck. You freed the dragons that were in the cages before taking off quickly. They followed after you, barking happily and thankfully. 

You saw Fishlegs was struggling. Meatlug had a chain around her leg. You saw Hiccup go in to help them. You flew by as a distraction so they wouldn't see Hiccup flying in from the other side. 

"Go for the winch!" Fishlegs said. Meatlug blasted it, but nothing happened. Ryker laughed.

"Hahaha. Awww. I'm afraid the chain and the winch are both dragon-proof this time!"

"But that wood deck isn't." He turned as Hiccup spoke up. Toothless fired, freeing Meatlug and Fishlegs cheered as you all hurried away.

"Wooooo!" 

"Let's get back to the Edge, guys!" You called. They all hurried after you as Hiccup pulled up beside you. You both led the way as you made it back to the base.

After a little while of resting and regrouping, you and Hiccup went to check on Fishlegs and Meatlug. Meatlug looked okay, but it was still good to check. Fishlegs was looking at her wing.

"How is she doing?" Hiccup asked.

"You know her feelings are hurt, you guys were cutting it a little too close. Minor wing sprain, but she'll be fine." Fishlegs replied. You saw Arrow walk in with Heather. It was obvious that he was trying to hide something.

"Um, Arrow, is something wrong?" You asked. Hiccup turned and he noticed it too.

"Are you limping?"

"No." He bit back.

"He got shot in the leg," Heather explained.

"What?!" You and Hiccup both exclaimed.

"A hunter arrow was gonna hit Stormfly so I blocked it." He defended.

"With your leg?" Hiccup asked.

"It just grazed me. I'm fine."

"Alright, Has anyone else been hurt recently? Who didn't tell me?" Hiccup asked around. Snotlout, Tuffnut, and Ruffnut all raised their hands.

"I got a thing in my eye," Tuff said.

"You mean that tiny little bug?" Ruff asked.

"Hey! That bug was on a mission. A mission to be in my eye."

"Oh, gods." Hiccup groaned to himself. You patted his shoulder with a smile.

"You can train dragons, Hiccup, but you can't control these guys no matter what you do."

"We're on to the risks, Hiccup." Heather cut in.

"And let's not forget we freed a couple of dozens of dragons this week."

"Okay, Guys, New rule. From now on-" He cut off as a Terror mail came in.

"What is it? Lots of big words? Mind me to take a look at that? Yeah, big words are my thing. Or should I say my thingy?" Tuff said. You read it with him and you frowned. Uh oh...
