Day seven of The Challenge

That day I cried on the bus ride home. I put my jacket over my head like my own dark, little cave. I didn’t want anybody to see me. Not like this. When I got home, I had a snack and then cried even more. Even though there was no one home, I locked myself in my room and stayed under my blanket.

I can’t believe I’m not aloud going near him! I didn’t think anything could stop me. I didn’t think anything would get in my way. I was going to make it. Going to succeed…but I didn’t. I failed. I’m a failure. It appears that there is only one thing that could have gotten in the way and that’s what happened.

Mom came home that evening to make me supper. I reluctantly got out of bed and went downstairs to eat. Afterwards, once I had some food in me, I felt better, happier. I decided to ask mom about the situation.

“Hey mom, what would you do if you weren’t allowed to go near someone anymore?”

“Why wouldn’t I be able to go near someone?”

“Well….let’s just say the teachers think it’s best to stay away from this person even though you know they’re wrong.”

“Hmm…I would write that person a note.”

“That’s a great idea. Thanks!”

So that’s what I did. Since I’m not allowed to go near him, I decided to write him a note. The Challenge still lives! Here is what I wrote:

To my love,
We were meant to be together. Forever. I’ve accepted it, and now my only wish is that you accept it as well. You may not like me right now, but I’m only doing what I have to do. Someday you’ll realize that and come to forgive me for terrorizing you. Then you’ll fall in love with me. I swear you’ll never love anybody as much as you would love me. If only you would give me a chance…
I will love you forever,

Ps. You are an imperfect person and so am I, but together we are perfect. Do you want to be perfect? Then love me. You will only be perfect if you love me!

There. It’s done. The next day at lunch I slipped it into my crush’s cubby. I hope he likes it. I hope it changes his life.
