Zak woke up and sighed into the pillow, then turned to check the time. It was 2pm, seems like he really slept in ... He had talked on the phone with Darryl until very late last night, they had laughed, talked and pulled small trolls  - they never got enough of each other - at the same time it hurt Zak, because Darryl was close now but still yet so far away. Zak really wished he could hug Darryl, hold his hand, maybe kiss him too, and be embraced by the warmth and safety of true love.

Tiredly he picked  his phone up and started scrolling through his twitter feed. Fanart and tweets regarding his newest video met his gaze while he was scrolling... then he got stopped on a particular tweet. "Anyone knows if @skeppyextra will be at vidcon?" it read. Zak smiled lightly while an idea formed in his head. Vidcon ... wouldn't that be a perfect opportunity to meet up?

He decided to call Darryl on telegram and he almost immediately picked up.

"Good morning, love" Darryl greeted him. Zak smiled as he heard Darryl's soothing voice.

"Darryl, I wanted to ask you if we could possibly meet up at vidcon. I really, really want to meet you and that would be a great opportunity for both of us. I love you so much. Please. "

Darryl bit his lip anxiously, he really hated flying, but maybe he could manage it one time- for Zak.

"O-okay..." Darryl finally agreed. "I love you too"

// A couple of weeks later //

Darryl felt nervous and his hands were trembling slightly. He really didn't like planes, but this time he felt more motivated to go. Him and Zak had decided to met up at vidcon and Darryl was rather excited about that, it was worth the suffer of sitting on a plane.

Darryl and Zak spoke over teamspeak everynight and a couple of times they even video called, but the only thing Darryl could think about in those cases was how badly he wanted to kiss Zak, and vice versa. Because of this they mostly talked over voice chat- it was just painful to be able to see the love of your life but not be able to touch them. Darryl couldn't wait to see Zak's adorable face. Now it was finally time. The wait was just unbearable.

Darryl decided to sleep for the rest of his flight. He closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair, eventually drifting of in peaceful sleep. A couple of hours later he got woken up by a loud voice telling him that the plane was going to land in about 15min.

Eventually Darryl got off the plane and got his luggage. He walked through the airport and spotted a short, raven haired boy in the crowd. It was Zak. Darryl ran towards him and soon Zak spotted Darryl as well, a smile spreading across his face he opened his arms towards running Darryl.

Darryl threw his arms around Zak and squeezed him tight, Zak hugged back. They held on for a long while, finally experiencing the comfort of hugging a loved one. They just felt so safe in each other's embrace. Eventually they pulled away ,but then got lost in each other's eyes. Zak's eyes were chocolate brown and were shining with happiness and excitement. Darryl decided that he couldn't wait any longer, he did what he had been waiting months to do. He put his hand on Zak's cheek and then pulled him in for a kiss. Zak immediately kissed back, and put his arm around Darryl's neck to reach up. They didn't care that they were in public, the energy just wouldn't stop. It was like all these months they had been holding their breath.

They finally broke the kiss, because they were out of air, and smiled breathlessly at each other.

"I love you so much Zak ." Darryl said affectionately.

"I love you too Darryl. You don't know how much I've been wanting to do that." Zak replied, still smiling happily.

Darryl kissed him on the cheek and then took hold of his hand, squeezing it lightly as he caressed the back of it with his thumb.

"Let's get your things to the car and then we can think of something to do together" Zak suggested.

"Sound great to me"
