We made it to the destroyed city about two hours latter. I walked around unsure of where I was going or the possibility I could walk into a wall. I stoped when I kicked something metal. I bent down to feel it was a helmet. I found the face of a skeleton in side it. I ran my hand along the armor. It had corroded over years of being outside like this. I could feel the guard growing uneasy. "What happened here?" He asked taking a step closer to will. Will moved his arm probably to point at me. The guard tensed. I stood moving around one pile after another. Some were soldiers others were normal civilians. I could fell a flood of anger wash over me as I moved from spot to spot with out thinking. I ended up at a spot where there were no bodies. Scratch that. There were two. I felt them and and quickly retracted my hand now coved in soot. I began to cry realizing this was the spot where the town burned my parents. I fell to my knees the memory coming back. The sounds of their pained screams, the smell of their flesh burning. The hands of the guards holding me down, forcing my to watch. My only comfort was in the fact I couldn't see their ruined bodies. I griped my knife tightly. I wish things would have been cleared to me. But all I got was more detail to this one tragedy that happened here. "Were leaving." I commanded. Relief washed over the guard. Will shook his head. When we got back to the carriage we stoped. The guard pulled his sword. "Who's there?" He shouted. His voice shaky. We were quickly surrounded by a group of six maybe seven. "Give us all your gold and anything valuable." One of the bandits said taking a step closer. "And may I ask who you are?" Said will taking a step closer to the man in question. "I am the reaper. And well your unlucky enough to catch me in my time of funding needs." He said. My hand wrapped around my shorter knife. The motion hidden by my cloak. Now all my gear made sense. I slowly drew the blade from its sheath. My anger boiled over. I didn't care if anyone rushed me. I was angry and they were in my way. The faker was thrown off by my willingness to fight. "Y-you got a death wish?" He stuttered. He tried sounding confident, but he couldn't manage it. "Before you get too angry, they say that copying is the greatest form of flattery." Will said still calm. How he did it is beyond me. "Get him." Said The head bandit. Two people made their way at me. I quickly slit their throats. The imposter took a step back. The other bandits charged at me. I smiled knowing they didn't have a chance. I drew my other blade and quickly cut down the four of them. "Looks like there was seven." I said taking another step closer to the fake. He fell backwards fear his only emotion. "You know, I don't think I care much for fools." I said pointing my longer blade at the man. They say fighting in rage makes one blind to the world around them. Well let me tell you fighting blind made ones senses more acute. The world which had been dark was open in a map spread across my mind. The location of every insect. The spot in each building where the foundation was ready to give out at any point. It was a familiar sense. Not seeing, but feeling in whole the world around me. Taking in every sound and scent. Every touch and every emotion. Both mine, and the ones around me. This is why it's so easy for me to read people. It's all I've ever done. The world was filled with an energy that only I could 'see'. That's why I'm blind. A soft smile spread across my face. "Congratulations, you get to live." I said flicking the blood off my blades and re-sheathing them. "Now get out of my sight before I change my mind." The man ran off quickly. "What's with the sudden change of heart?" Asked will coming to stand next to me. "I understand now." I said mysteriously. "And what would that be?" He asked overly curious. "I can't see will. I'm blind by all definitions of the word, and yet I know that there is a birds nest in the window above us with three eggs in it." I said pointing up. "I know there is a storm brewing in the south and when it hits we don't want to be outside" will nodded. "You sure are a strange one." The wizard said.
