I Want What I Deserve// Loki x Fem Reader

"Welcome back," says Nick Fury and he guides Loki into the large circular cell that he resided in 8 years ago. Loki rolls his eyes as he takes a stance in the center of the cell. Y/n has been hanging back in the shadows of the room, silently watching. He locks eyes with her. She steps out of the shadows and glares at him. While he smiles at her, she can see a look of guilt in his eyes.

Nick looks at Y/n, then at Loki. Sensing the tension, he backs away. "I'm going to let you guys handle whatever that," he motions to them, "is." He leaves.

Loki puts his hands behind his back and assumes a wide stance. "Cozy in here, isn't it?"

Y/n keeps up at emotionless state as she crosses her arms around her chest. "Where is Thor?"

He chuckles. "Right to the point, are we?"

She says nothing. "It matters not where, but just know he is relatively safe," he says.

Y/n cocks her head. "Relatively?"

"He's not exactly comfortable, but he is alive and unharmed."

Y/n creeps up to the glass. "Why did you disguise yourself as Thor?"

Loki's smile drops. "I've been observing you ever since you joined the Avengers. Assessing you. Together, I am sure that we could do great things."

"You made that clear when you took advantage of me."

He scoffs. "Last time I saw you, you seemed more than happy to do things with me."

She is starting to get angry now. "You did something to me. You were different, too. I have been with Thor for so long, it was so different to have someone new. I recognized the fact that he was different, but I didn't think anything of it. Yes, it was nice. But it was nice because it was different."

He too steps closer to the glass. "While I believe that some of that is true, I do see through you, darling. You want to believe what you are saying, but deep down you know it not to be true. You know that you want this."

A fire lights within Y/n. "YOU DON'T THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT? YES, yes I want you! Jesus, Loki! I have to put up a front because I can't leave Thor! I have feelings for you and I can't navigate them! I have been with Thor for YEARS, Loki. You can't just waltz in here and expect for me to just leave this relationship that I have been in. I can't, Loki. I just can't. People don't do that. Friends don't do that. Family doesn't do that. But you don't understand that because you push all the people you love away! People do care about you Loki! I have read your records. Odin, Frigga, Thor, Sif. I know about your past. And I understand, I really do. It is true, Odin didn't love you as much as he did Thor. But Frigga loved you SO much, and so did Thor. Thor was a massive blockhead, but he has grown so much. I wish you could see it. Maybe you could, if you let him go."

Loki staggers backwards, shocked by her raged outburst. "You don't understand. You could never understand not having your father loving you," he says. 

"Try having two parents that legitmately abused you. They did and said things that I can never erase from my soul. I still bear scars, both physically and mentally," she scoffs. She pulls down the collar of her outfit to her shoulder to reveal scars of what looks like rope, maybe a belt.

"I'm sorry, Y/n." He has tears in his eyes as he looks truly remorseful and guilty.

Y/n shrugs. "I let the past die. In fact, I killed it."

Loki cocks his head. "Why?"

She makes eye contact with him. "I had too. Not only were they terrible people, they were agents of Hydra." (A/N: Anybody understand the "Let the past die, kill it if you have to" reference???) 

Loki says nothing. "I'm going to come back later. I recommend that you consider whether you want to tell me the whearabouts of Thor or not. If you don't tell me, there will be consequences that I don't want to have to administer."

Loki nods solemnly. "Okay, Y/n."

Y/n begins to walk out, but not before turning around to say, "Goodbye, Loki. I hope you make the right decision."
