Walking up beside my brother I looked to Aslan for answers. "Come, let us walk together." Aslan spoke turning around and walking away. Peter and I quickly followed behind, staying quiet. "Today, my dear ones, I will open a portal back to your world. And I am afraid that you will have to say goodbye to your siblings Freya. For I, in good conscience, can not send you back there where I know you will suffer greatly without Narnia's Deep Magic. And this is the last time you will see either Susan or Peter. For they have learned all they can here." Turning to look at my brother I saw that he, too, had tears in his eyes. I don't blame him though. He had just gotten me back from the dead now he must say goodbye to me forever or I will die. "I know this hard to hear, and it'll be even harder to do, but it must be done. Peter, you have been a magnificent (😉) King, but your sister, her destiny has always been to be here. In Narnia." I looked up at Peter but he was looking passed me. Turning I saw Caspian standing there by the stairs of the Palace. "Oh uh we are ready, everyone has assembled." He spoke gently, before walking away. Looking up at my older brother I saw something in him that I haven't seen in a long time... happiness. "You know, I never thought that there would ever be anyone good enough for you, but Caspian... He's a great man and an even better King. I'm glad that you'll have him to lean on after all this." "Is the Peter Pevensie giving Caspian a compliment!?" I teased. He laughed and pushed my shoulder before hugging me tightly. "We should get going..." Peter whispered as we pulled away from one another. Aslan walked a head of us as we made our way to the oldest tree that resided down in the village. The entire time I couldn't stop thinking about what I would say to my twin. We'd been together all our lives, never apart than a few days at a time. But now, we may not see each other ever again! Coming to stand between Edmund and Lucy I noticed that Caspian was avoiding looking at me. He barely even glanced at me in the courtyard as well... What is going on with him? "Narnia belongs to the Narnians, just as it does to man. Any Tel-marines who want to stay and live in peace are welcome to. But for any of who wish, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers." Caspian announced. "It's been generations since we left Telmar." A man from the front row of people spoke skeptically. "We are not referring to Telmar. Your ancestors were seafaring brigands. Pirates run aground on an island. There they found a cave, a rare chasm that brought them here from their world. The same world as our Kings and Queens. It is to that island that I can return you. It is a good place for any who wish to make a new start." Aslan explained, shocking the crowd. "I will go. I will accept your offer." General Glozelle spoke out as he stepped forward. "So will we." Queen Prunaprismia announced moving forward with her baby and father. "Because you have spoken first, your future in that world shall be good." Aslan praised before releasing his blessing breath upon them. Turning to the ancient tree, Aslan amazed everyone as he used his magic to open it wide to create a portal to the other world. Stepping forward, Prunaprismia and Glozelle slightly bowed to Aslan in thanks before they all walked through the new doorway, disappearing from sight. "Where did they go!?" They crowd shouted in panic. "They killed them!" Someone else called out. "How do we know he is not leading us to our deaths!?" "Sire." Reepicheep spoke up. "If my example can be of any service, I will take 11 mice through with no delay." But Aslan didn't answer. Instead looked to my brother and I. Gripping the handle of his sword tightly, Peter stepped forward, addressing the crowd. "We'll go." "We will?" Edmund asked confused. "Come on. Our time is up. After all... we're not really needed here anymore." Peter smiled as he turned to Caspian, holding out his beloved sword. Hesitantly taking the blade, Caspian stared straight into my brother's eyes with a fierce determination. "I will look after it until you return." He promised. "I'm afraid that's just it." Peter spoke looking back at us. His eyes contacting with mine. "We're not coming back." "We're not!?" Lucy gasped in shock and sadness. "You two are." I smiled. "At least I hope he means you two." I looked towards Aslan. "But why?" Lucy questions confused. "Did they do something wrong?" "Quiet the opposite dear one. But all things have their time. Your brother and sister have learned all they can in this world. It is time for them to live in their own." Aslan told her gently. "Wait." Edmund interrupted. "You said brother and sister. One sister...." Turning to me Edmund looked hurt, terrified almost. "You're not coming!? Why!?" "Don't you remember what happened last time?" I whispered. "I was dying in that world. There wasn't enough magic to sustain me. If I go back, I won't survive." "But... But we're twins! I can't leave you. You're my sister, my best friend! You're the only one who has ever beat me at chest! I...I can't ju-" "It's alright Edmund. It's not how I thought it was going to be. But it'll be alright. It has to be, and it's not forever. We'll see each other again." I smiled gently as tears filled my eyes. I stumbled back a bit as Ed and Lucy nearly knocked me over in a hug. "What are we going to do without you?" Lucy sobbed as Ed pulled out of the hug. Bending down to my knees, I made my little sister look at me. "You are going to go home. You are going to study, and work hard to be at the top of your class. And every night before you go to bed, you are going to write how your day was, until we see each other again." I smiled wipping her tears. "You, my little lioness, are going to overcome all obstacles. Including this one." "But I'm not brave like you." She cried. "You're right.... because you are braver than I could ever hope to be. I want you to have this." I smiled taking off my ring.

"Isn't that-" "Yes." "But... Mr. Tumnus gave you that for your 21st birthday! It's the last thing you have of him." Lucy exclaimed as she tried to push the ring back into my hands. "I know, and I will always cherish it. But right now, you need this more than I do. Hold on to it. Protect it for me. That way, you know that one day you will see me again." Leaping into my arms Lucy cried, squeezing me as hard as she could. "I love you, little sister. Always remember that." Pulling back, Lucy wiped away her tears before giving me a tentative smile. I nodded at Trumpkin who had been waiting to say goodbye to her. I felt someone step up to me as I watched my siblings say goodbye to our new friends. "When I saw you...in the courtyard with Aslan and your brother....I thought you were leaving again." Caspian whispered making me look up at him. "I don't think, that even if I could leave, that I would want to." I smiled. "Why?" He asked looking into my eyes with an intensive amount of hope. "Because, I don't think I could ever live without you. Even if I'm 1,300 years older than you." Smiling wide, Caspian pulled me into a kiss. Right in front of the entire kingdom. "I'm sure when I'm older I'll understand." I heard Lucy giggle. "I'm older and I don't think I want to understand." Edmund joked. Smiling into the kiss I gently pulled away and waved to my family before watching them disappear from sight. One day.... One day I shall see them again!
