*A/N: Hey my Power Readers! I'm sooooo sorry for not sticking to my schedule. I will do better in the future. With all that went on during 2020, I got so stressed out, I forgot to work on the upcoming chapters! I hope you all can forgive me for this major error. Thank you all for 13.4K reads and 258 votes and 100 comments in total! I can't possibly express how absolutely grateful I am for each and every one of you! I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I did writing it. With that being said, on with the chapter!*
We run outside hand in hand and stop in front of the porch. Bright red, green, blue, yellow, and white lights glow brightly on the front of our house, giving visitors and passerby's alike, the feeling of an eternal Christmas. Sam's hand still in mine, we continue towards the beautiful and rainy rooms of Waterfall. I show him everything from paths to shortcuts and stores to houses, leaving no stone unturned.
We reach a room called "The Wishing room." My eyes sparkle with joy seeing the beautiful, star-like rocks and crystals and condensation dripping from the ceiling. "Look, Sam!" I exclaim, running up to my wishing spot, Sam in tow. "This is my wishing spot. Here!" I sit down, feet sunken into the water a bit and pat the spot to my right. "Come sit with me!" He hesitantly walks up to the spot and sits down. "What is this place?" He asks, curiously. "Well, this place is called 'The Wishing Room.'" I explain, with a heavy, relaxed, sigh as I slowly get lost in the sparkling blues, pinks, and purples of the crystals that dotted the ceiling like the surface's navy blue night sky. "For generations of captivity, the monster children would sneak off or come with their parents and make a wish. I came here everyday and wished we would be set free. And look, Sam! Here we are!" Sam raises a brow and tilts his head. "Why did you bring me here, then?" He asks, curiosity taking the lead once more. I chuckle and look at him. "You haven't made a wish yet, silly!" I say through chuckles. "I brought you here to make one. So... what's your wish?" Sam looks down at the glittering crystal blue water in deep thought before saying, "I guess I just wish for you to be happy forever." He mumbles something else and I raise a brow. "What was that last part?" I ask, curiosity consuming me. "Oh nothing." Sam disregards it as if he truly did say nothing. I shrug and look forward, until I raise my shoulders in shock as I realized what was just said. My heart thumps loudly and I feel my face flush with heat. "Me...?" is all I can muster in my moment of shock. "Your first wish, was made for... me?" "Yeah!" Sam exclaims. "Of course! Your everything to me. You give me life." I snorted with laughter and swish my head to look at him. "Was that a pun?" I ask through laughter. "Yep." Sam says with that sly smirk of his. "You silly!" I say, my laughter getting stronger. I playfully shove him to the side and he does the same back to me. Suddenly, he shoves me into the water when I least expect it. Or so he thinks. I grab onto the sleeve of his grey tux and pull him into the water with me. With a big splash, we look at each other swimming in the water laughing our brains out. I grab onto the rocky ledge and pull myself back onto dry land. I then grab Sam's arm and help him up. We make a mutual decision that we need to move on to other areas of The Underground, and with a longing glance, stinging eyes, and heavy heart, we look forward and press on.
We stop in to Mr. Gerson's shop and talk to him for a bit. We stop by my friend Napstablook's place and talk to him for a bit. We even get to introduce ourselves and talk to Mettaton for a bit! He became famous practically overnight and has the highest ratings for a television show in the whole underground! My friends meet Sam and their families do too. In The Underground, everybody knows everybody.
Then we reach Hotland, a nice heat rising from below to help us warm up and dry our soaked clothes. Sam gets to meet Alphys, the Royal Scientist, and a bunch of my friends. Then we reach the Core, which as cold as ever. We get to meet some people, good and bad. Then, we reach Judgement Hall in New Home. This place always gives me the chills. I can't imagine why though. It's so beautiful. The birds are chirping, you can see the flowers blooming, and the heat of The Surface pours in, it is delightful.
We cautiously step into the throne room, carful not to trample the beautiful, well-cared for, yellow flowers, poking up from the ground with their natural beauty and grace. And lastly, the barrier. The vast empty, white space leading to The Surface. I stare at it before looking at Sam, who is already staring at it. "It's time." I say to him, snapping him out of his trance. "Already?" He asks, almost... nervous? But why? It isn't important right now though. Everyone else is already gone now. "Yeah." I say, blinking away tears. Pushing aside our fears, we walk through the bright tunnel of the broken barrier and through the door. We're greeted by the bright, golden, sun pouring down on us from above as we stood upon a rocky cliff overlooking a beautiful ocean, a strong and tall, forest, and a busy city. I smile - when was the last time I'd seen this beautiful sight? Before we can say anything to each other, someone yells at us - to us? I don't know. All I know is the strangely familiar, booming voice that fills our ears as we spin around to see the messenger. "HEY!" The stranger yells. "SLAPPY! Y/N! IS THAT YOU?!" I spin around and my eyes widen to see who is yelling at us. It is my idol - the one and only - R.L. Stine and his teenage daughter Hannah.
