Artemis' POV:
After a moment of silence Rachel was about to reply when I heard the door open and from the corner of my eye I saw someone enter the room. There was also a sound of clicking, like high heels on a wood floor.
I looked over to see a small man, about 5'4", with shaggy brown hair hidden by a tuque, his eyes reminded me a lot of Poseidon's since they were a sea green like his. The small man also had a pair of crutches, I was beginning to question if this small man was actually just a Satyr dressed to look human. They often appeared the way this small man did when in the presence of a mortal.
And I suppose the sound I heard before was not high heels but was instead his crutches.
"Rachel, I have it from here."
He said.
"Are you sure, Sloven?"
Rachel replied as she looked over at the small man, he nodded and Rachel left the room.
He then turned to look at me.
"So, it's true then?"
He asked, I did not know what he was referring to and he seemed to realize this because he went on.
"You're the Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis, yes? And Zeus kicked you off of Olympus?"
I nodded and sighed," for something I did not even do. You are a Satyr, then? Sloven, was it?"
The small man named Sloven nodded," Indeed. Chiron has asked me to bring you to Camp Half-Blood. Now, preferably. If you're up for it. After all, you did have a nasty fall."
"I am fine, let us get going."
I replied before getting off the hospital bed.
However, I was apparently not fine. I instantly got a major headache, my vision blurred, and my ankle was practically screaming at me in pain.
I stumbled forward but Sloven quickly dropped his crutches and managed to catch me.
"You're ankle is broken, it seems. Here. Take these."
Sloven said as he gently placed me on the ground then grabbed his crutches and handed them to me.
"Do you not need them as part of your-"
He cut me off.
"I have another pair."
The Satyr explained as he reached into his pocket and grabbed two metal sticks, they were probably only about a couple centimeters tall and to me they looked more like mini metal straws, rather than crutches.
"Those are just straws, Sloven.."
I said, he shook his head and sighed before pushing a button. The straws then extended their size by almost 4'0" and became crutches.
"These are portable crutches, Artemis. Welcome to 3010."
He added, I almost forgot that it was 3010 and that technology was much more advanced than it was 1000 years ago.
I gripped onto the crutches Sloven had given me and attempted to stand. Which I managed to do. Thank the eleven remaining Gods. I wonder if any of them miss me or if any of them are trying to explain to my father that it was not me...
"Alright, Artemis. Ready to go to Camp Half-Blood?"
Sloven asked me, causing me to be separated from my thoughts.
I nodded.
We then started to make our way out of the hospital, I may have stumbled a few times...Once we were out of the hospital, Sloven put out a hand in front of me which caused me to stop. He then looked around and started sniffing the air, which was not a good sign. Usually when a Satyr started sniffing the air it either meant there was a monster nearby, or food. I highly doubted it was food.
"Monster?"
I questioned.
