Artemis' POV:
I made my way down to Cabin 8, my cabin where no campers ever stayed since I do not have Demigod children. My cabin was reserved for myself and my Huntresses whenever we stopped by the camp.
I opened the doors of the cabin and stepped inside, nearly tripping over my crutches.
"Artemis!"
I heard one of my Huntresses shout, I turned around to see Levy Zackson standing a few feet from me. Her long brown hair tied in a braid and her dark brown eyes were filled with worry, I then glanced around the cabin and saw the same look in my other Huntresses.
I sighed.
"I am alright, Levy."
I told her, she raised an eyebrow at me.
"If you're "alright" then why do you have crutches?"
She questioned, my other Huntresses whispered agreements to one another about what Levy had said.
"It is nothing, I am merely just holding onto the crutches for Sloven."
I replied, I thought it was a rather decent excuse. And I also thought I sounded rather confident saying it.
"Uh-huh, if you claim you don't need them... then walk over to me without them."
Levy said as she crossed her arms.
"Easy."
I said, setting the crutches down as I placed my broken ankle on the ground. I held back a wince before attempting to walk over to Levy. I managed to get about halfway before wincing in pain and stumbling forwards, luckily Levy caught me.
"So you do need the crutches. And you really are mortal."
Levy sighed as she helped me up, I looked down to hide a blush of embarrassment.
"How long do you think she'll be mortal for?"
One of my Huntresses, Piper Peral asked Levy. Piper had short ginger coloured hair that went to her shoulders and bright brown eyes, which were also filled with worry.
Levy shrugged, still holding me.
"If this is anything like what Zeus would do to Apollo... then who knows how long it will last for."
She replied.
"Can we not talk about my current state...?"
I asked, I hated being mortal and I hated people talking about me being mortal.
"Yes, of course, Artemis. We're sorry."
Levy said.
I sighed and got out of Levy's hold before attempting to walk back to where I had left my crutches, I bent down to try and grab them but ended up collapsing to the ground. I groaned in pain. Broken ankles are not fun.
Levy and Piper rushed over to my side to help me up, I quietly thanked them. They both nodded.
"Artemis, you should get some rest."
Piper suggested.
"I do not need to rest, what I need to do is speak with Chiron."
I replied.
"Nope, you need to rest."
Levy said, agreeing with Piper.
Leval Zackson, Levy's twin sister, walked over to us and placed a hand on my shoulder as she gave me a comforting smile.
"Artemis, rest. Chiron isn't going anywhere, you can speak with him in the morning."
I sighed again, knowing she was right.
"Fine. I will rest."
I said, Levy and Piper helped me over to a lower bunk and set me down.
"Though, before you talk to Chiron tomorrow, we should stop by the Apollo Cabin so they can heal up your ankle."
Leval suggested.
"Fine."
I replied before carefully turning my back to my Huntresses and fell asleep almost as soon as I closed my eyes.
