Steven P.O.V

      I wake up to my phone ringing. I check to see who's calling me. It's connie. I wanted to go back to sleep, but I couldn't ignore my best friend, so I picked up.
"Morning Connie," I said in a obviously tired voice.
"Morning Steven, did I wake you up? I'm sorry, if I did I'll just hang up so that you can go back to sleep if you like," she said with care.
Connie was my crush, I wanted to tell her how I feel, but I feel like she doesn't like me as much as I like her, so I don't tell her anything.
"No no no, you didn't wake me up, so what's up?" I asked her with confusion.
"I was wondering if you wanted to spend the day with me, you know so we can catch up," she said with a bit of excitement in her voice.
"Yeah sure just let me get ready."
"Ok great! I'll be there in 10, see ya!" She says as she hangs up.
I sigh, another day.

I'm here waiting for Connie on the bench, when I notice myself slowly getting a bit hungry. I decided to go get a donut from the big Doughnut. When I walk in there I notice a girl. She had h/c hair, s/c skin and looked a little shorter but not to short. She looked around my age. Is she new because she's not recognizable, and I usually know everyone in this town. I decided to say hi.

Y/n P.o.v

    I'm just trying to find my way around a town called "Beach City." I moved here since I hated life back home. My parents would never listen to me, they would always make the decisions for me, and would always pay attention to their jobs more than me. So I decided to move here where I can make my OWN decisions.
     While I'm walking around I start to get a little hungry. I look around for any nearby places where I can eat. I see "The big Doughnut." I walk inside.
"Hello there, what would you like?" A man with dark brown hair says to me.
"I'd like a chocolate donut." I say while getting my purse getting ready to pay.
"Coming right up." He says as he gets the donut I ordered.
     While I'm waiting I notice the door open. It revealed a boy with pink jacket, along with a black shirt that has a star on it. He also had some flip flops on, and had curly dark brown hair. He walked up to the counter and looked at me. I quickly stopped looking at him and blushed a little, hoping that he didn't notice my stare. I wanted to introduce myself, but I was too nervous.
What If he doesn't like me? What if he just thinks I'm a weirdo like all the rest do? What if-
     I was quickly snapped out of my thoughts when I heard him say:
"Hi there, are you new around here? I've never seen you before, and I usually know everyone."
"Yeah, I just m- moved here. Why?" I say with a stutter.
Why am I stuttering? I don't usually stutter.
"Oh that's why I can't recognize you, because you're obviously new here," he replies with an adorable smile.
Wait what, I just met this dude, what is wrong with me?
"Here's your donut, that will be $0.99," he says as he hands me the bag.
I take out the amount he wants, and hand it to him.
"Hey mind if you wait for me outside while I get my donut?" The curly hair boy asks.
"Yeah I'll wait for ya," I say as I walk out of the store.

Nobody's P.O.V

"I got my donut!" The boy says as he walks out of the store.
"Cool," Y/N says casually.
"Oh hey I didn't tell you my name, My name is Steven universe, and you are?"
"Oh, I'm Y/n L/n, your average teenage girl," she said with no enthusiasm. "Also I love your last name, Universe."
" Really? It's nothing special to me," Steven admitted.
"What do you mean? I would totally love my last name if it was 'Universe," The girl said.
"Well-" The curly hair boy was interrupted.

Y/n POV

     Steven was interrupted by a beautiful chocolate skin girl, with dark brown hair. She was wearing a white shirt with a collar, and some short jean pants. She walked up towards Steven.
"Hey Steven, sorry I took so long, my parents were making me help them with some stuff," The chocolate skin girl said.
She looked over at me for a second then looked back at Steven.
  "Jeez Steven you couldn't wait for me so you replaced me," The girl said jokingly.
  "What? I could never replace someone I've known for so long," he said a bit worried.
  "I was only Joking," She admitted.
"Anyways, Connie, this is Y/N, she's new around here, so I was just gonna give her a little tour around this place," Steven said as he looked at me.
So that's her name. Connie. It fits her really well.
"Is it ok if I come along," Connie asked.
"Yeah sure, you two will be able to get to know each other more better," The curly boy said.

No ones P.O.V

Steven soon started walking towards a place called Funland, signaling the two girls to follow him. Connie then looked at Y/N and just went, " hmph" at her. She began following after Steven, with Y/N not to far behind. She following behind the two best friends as they start chatting.
Hey, maybe this place won't be so bad after all, right? Y/N thought to herself. I'll just have to wait and see.
