This chapter has been rewritten and events have changed.

"Get up." Dalton ushers, bursting through my room. Eyes flying to the clock, I find that it was nine o'clock, the sky outside dark.

I must have fallen asleep watching random videos on YouTube.

"Why, what's going on?" I rub my eyes, confused on the sudden entry and demand.

"Party tonight, you're coming with us." He sits down on the office chair at the desk across my room, giving it a spin. "This one will be fun, I promise."

I throw myself back onto the bed with a groan and he crosses the room in a swift movement. Throwing himself on the bed, the contact makes my body bounce against the mattress.

"Don't be that way, B. Nothing's going to happen this time." He is resting on his knees, bouncing me playfully as he jumps up and down.

"Is she coming?" Thomas comes to stand in the doorway, as if I wasn't there, his eyes shifting to mine. "Are you coming?" he reasks.

Looking between both of them, I know there was no getting out of this. I huff, removing myself from the bed and make my way to the bathroom.

"Give me an hour."

"I have got to stop pairing with you at parties." I wince as the shot of Tequila scratches my throat.

"No way, I'm the perfect party-partner." He pours yet another, and I grab the side of the counter. We were only on number three, but I had shown up on an empty stomach with the amount of time I was given to get ready after being awaken from my nap.

A redhead comes up, throwing her arms around Dalton's shoulder, making him spill some of the Tequila and he mumbled a quick curse.

"I've been looking for you, I didn't know if you were coming tonight." She purrs, her free hand brushing a seductive finger up and down his chest.

"Jenny, this is Brook." He points to me, grabbing his glass and waits for me to do the same.

"Awe, she's cute." She looks at me from my toes, to the top of my head. I had thrown on a loose, baby pink, satin cami, a dark pair of American Eagle shorts, and a pair of leather, strappy sandals.

"You people really know how to talk about someone, like their not standing in front of you." The words leave my lips as the glass meets them. I am thankful that the previous shots have made my throat numb now, allowing me to enjoy the taste.

"Funny too." Her voice drips with sarcasm and she looks back to Dalton. "You can stay here with me tonight."

He removes her arm from his shoulders, twisting the cap back onto the bottle.

"Not tonight, Jenny." He exchanges a look with me before rolling his eyes, leading me outside where we take seats on the patio chairs.

"Thank god." He breathes, taking a drink straight from the bottle when he has gotten himself settled.

"Girlfriend?" I ask him, taking the bottle when he passes it to me.

"Hardly." He scoffs, shaking his head as he looks forward.

We sit in silence for a moment, passing the bottle back and forth gradually. I hand it back to him, announcing that I didn't need it back.

The air outside had cooled off a bit since the sun had gone down, a light breeze dancing around us. This house was just outside of town, leaving it to be tucked back in a more secluded area, perfect for party shenanigans. Large oak trees stood here and there, hiding most of the star filled sky from view.
