"G-Good morning everyone!" a female cried out from the front of the classroom, bowing deeply as she yelled. "T-Today is going to be a great day!"
"I'm starting to feel bad for her..." Y/N laughed out, her head placed in her chin as she watched the girl frantically greet everyone who entered the room. "Maybe I should respond back?"
"Don't add to it. It's already loud enough," Shinso sighed out, rubbing a hand to his hand. The other female, however, seemed to have taken it as a challenge, jumping out of her seat and pumping a fist into the air. "You're doing a great job Sakura-san!" she cheered, earning a few snickers in return to her outburst. She was still a bit uncomfortable about this sort of attention but felt bad enough for the girl to try and help her out.
The class wasn't half bad either, being fairly nice towards one another. Most of them had already befriended one another by the looks of it, even attempting to include the rather elusive duo who sat near the back despite them both refraining to do so many times. They were relentless in their advances though, refusing to let a simple 'no' stop them from trying to make conversation. Not that she hated it, in fact, she was glad about it. That meant they weren't ignoring Shinso and the boy would eventually be forced to come out of his shell.
She had managed to remember the class representative's name after a bit, feeling a bit of an obligation now that she was in short terms supposed to help her out. After some realization, Y/N had come to learn that Sakura was quite a nervous person when it came down to things but easily outgoing as well, dragging on conversations with no problem. It seemed her problems came about whenever multiple people were placing their attention on her, something the other girl understood quite well.
"T-Thank you Soma-san!" Sakura yelled back, copying a fist pump similar to the other girl. She grinned, appearing to be happy someone had responded back to her greetings.
"Why?" the boy questioned, glaring at the h/c haired girl as she sat back down, satisfied with herself. She simply smiled towards him, folding her hands over the desk and not saying anything. Shinso sighed, shaking his head slightly, before placing his attention elsewhere, not continuing the conversation anymore.
She smiled. Even if he didn't act like he enjoyed her company at times, the boy still stuck by her side for the past two days and was usually the only one texting her late at night about stupid shit. She wouldn't say she had done much to grow so close to him within those few days but nonetheless, had managed to win over his friendship rather quickly. Perhaps it was the fact they were classmates but he talked with her a lot, more than she would have guessed. He was blunt about his opinions but easily became rather awkward if he ever felt he had offended her or the others in any way. He wasn't a cruel being, just usually much more serious about things than she was.
Now that she thought about it, she had come to learn quite a lot about the strange trio of people she now called her friends. She hadn't really thought about it before, but to take even one of them out of her life felt sort of out of place now. They easily took up the majority of her time, not leaving her a moment of respiratory with their many problems and desires. She had become used to them, finding simplicity in just making one of them smile at the end of the day, even if it was for a second.
A hand went to her head, a frown etching on her face similar to the many times she had grown one these past days.
Would they forget her if she returned home?
It was certainly a possibility considering she was an odd entity in this place. Maybe this world would revert back to a time where she had yet to interact with any of them.
When she hadn't invited Shinso for lunch.
When she hadn't helped Mei out in the entrance exam.
