Unexpected

Jay's POV

I'm sitting on the sofa looking at a picture of Hailey and I back from last years Christmas party; wearing antlers and matching Christmas jumpers. Shes the most kindest, goofiest person in the world and I love her so much. I've wanted to tell her I love her since the that night in the hospital- but this time so she can here. After the day we have had I decide to go to her place and see how she is, it's just a thing we have. When it's been a rough one, we always check on each other after work, no matter the time.

I arrive at her place 15 minutes later and knock on the door. " Hey Jay. " Hailey whispers opening the door. " Hey hails. " I smile walking into her apartment. " Want a drink? " She asks whislt were walking over to the sofa. " I'm good thanks. " I say sitting down.

" How are you? " I ask looking her in the eyes. " Ye I'm alright. It sucks dad done the robbery but he got what he deserves. " hailey replies smiling. " When you were with Dhalia's headteacher I talked with your dad. He said something and I cant get it out my head. " I say. " Okay..what did he say? " Hailey asks looking worried. " He said you practically asked him to beat the crap out of you once. I know hes a jackass and is probably lying but I gotta ask. " I explain sitting further back on the sofa. " Ye its true. I wanted proof of what he was like, so I wound him up and said ' come on just do it if you think your so tough ' so he did. He gave me a black eye and bust lip. The camera died before he went for me, so I couldn't use it. " Hailey cries. " hey it's okay. You were desperate. " I say hugging hailey into me. " You must think I'm crazy! " Hailey says crying into my side. I look down at her wondering the pain she must have felt growing up with a dad like that. " No I dont think your a failure. I think your an amazing woman, detective, mum and friend. " I say trying to comfort hailey.

Haileys POV

Jay just said he doesn't think I'm a failure but he must. I'm not an amazing woman, detective, mum or friend. I'm a horrible, crazy person. I dont say anything back I just cry, cuddling into him. " Hailey look at me. " Jay says lifting my chin so my eyes meet his. " I love you so much! " Jay says looking right into my eyes. " I heard you tell me in the hospital just before I came round. I told you when you were asleep, your head resting on my bed. " Jay adds. " I love you more than anything Jay. You've done more than I could ask for that last few days. " I say smiling, looking him in the eyes.

We stare into each others eyes for a few minutes until Jay's lips meet mine. We kiss passionately before we pull back for air " You sure about this? " Jay asks catching his. " never been more sure " I whisper smiling. Jay nodds and leans in again. " Come on " Say says picking me up. " Jay, we gotta be quite. " I giggle, whilst Jay is kissing my neck, carrying me through to the bedroom. " dont worry baby. " Jay replies throwing me onto my bed. I let out a screech as I fall onto my bed. " Shh, you said we had to be quiet. " Jay teasingly says taking his top off. " Shut up, come here. " I order pulling him ontop of me by the pants. After about ten minutes were flat out, cuddling into to each other.
