"Kayano?"

She looked up to the sound of her name and had her eyes wide in surprise as she abruptly stood up almost making her chair fall out by the sudden movement. She didn't have time to process everything as her body moved on its own by embracing the person into a warm hug.

"OH MY GOD YOU REALLY CAME." Her words were muffled but she couldn't contain her excitement as she hugged the person tighter. She was so close to crying but held it in as she moved back a bit too look at the person move carefully.

It had been seven years since they last saw each other. The last time they had talk to each other was somewhere around their graduation time.

She was really heartbroken to had slowly realized that he wasn't in school anymore but transferred abroad so quickly. Nobody in class didn't know the exact reason for his sudden move but people had speculated because of the late night pranks that circulated throughout school.

Some of them say he was accomplice and his mother had found out about it, others presumed he witness the event but was blackmailed to keep quiet and play along to their schemes. For whatever the rumors maybe, Kayano didn't care because she trusted him.

"You didn't grown much since the last time I saw you." She observed and the person could only sigh before finally breaking away from the hug. "I know, I thought the weather abroad would have make me grown a bit more taller." He laughed it out but he knew his pride was hurt.

"You said, you won't be here for long." She said as she bit into a cake that she ordered earlier. He nodded his head while sipping his drink. "I'm only here to visit some relatives," He explained and Kayano nodded her head before taking another bite.

"That's a shame, I wanted to hang out with you more." She sulked and he could only smile at her expression. "Then do you want to go out for a couple of drinks?" He suggested and She had her mouth hand open by his words.

~

"Never would have expected I would go drinking with you." Kayano laughed before pouring another round in her cup. He nodded his head before quietly sipping his share.

"I know, I don't like drinking but it felt like you wanted to do it." He said which made Kayano shy away for a moment before quickly gulping down her drink. She wiped her mouth before pouring another round.

"Woah, slow down. We'll be drinking til morning right?" He said as he reached out to removed the bottle away from her and she nodded her head. "Yeah, uh I hear a phone ringing." She said as she noticed his phone on the table was vibrating.

He quickly grabbed his phone and checked the name of the caller. He was about to end the call when it ended on its own and recall again.

"Aren't you going to answer it?" Kayano slurred while sipping her drink.

He looked at her before smiling. "Oh yeah, I'll step out for a bit."

Once he was finally outside he was hesitant to answer but finally pressed the green button. He placed the phone to his ear and greeted a small hello.

"Hey." The caller answered.

"It's been a while." He spoke and the caller just chuckled at that. "Yeah, I heard you're in town."

"Yes, but I'm leaving tomorrow to go to my relative's place," He answered.

"Can we meet?" The caller asked.

"I uh, we can't. I'm with Kayano." He explained.

It was silent for a moment until the caller finally spoke again, "It's fine. Good night." then it ended.

He sighed as he rubbed his face. He hadn't expected that it would have come that before he went back inside.

Kayano was on her phone, looking a bit more sober before glancing to see he had finally returned. "Hey, do you want some of their specials? I've heard they're really good." She said.

He sat down and nodded his head. "Yeah, I'll go order some." Kayano stood up and went to the counter.

He twirled his cup before finally sipping his drink. It wasn't long before they finally ended their drinking session and he got a taxi for her.

It was a cold night as he walked to his old place. His mother wasn't at home as she was in a business trip and won't be returning next week.

Their relationship wasn't the best, so they never really had the closure he was hoping for. He unlocked the door and step inside.

It hadn't changed much, considering that there were barely people at home. He removed his coat and shoes and walked up to his old bedroom.

He slowly twisted the knob and looked around. It was clean and slightly empty since he left his suitcase here before meeting up with Kayano.

He sighed as he changed into his clothes. His head was still a bit fuzzy from drinking but still somewhat can think straight as he was about to go to sleep.

He heard a few clinks from his windows. He ignored it and closed his eyes.

The clinks turned louder and he got irritated from the noise as he finally opened the window. He looked around at the dark lit area and was about to close his window until he saw someone.

He didn't close the window as he rushed down and went out. He heaved a bit from the abrupt running as he came face to face with someone looking down on his phone in front of their gates.

"K-karma." He stuttered.

The redhead looked up with a mischievous smile. "Nagisa."

"It's good to see you again." Karma said as he hugged him.

~

"You promised?" He asked.

Nagisa  tried to smile while nodding his head as he embraced him. "Yeah, maybe one day..." He trailed off as he pulled back to look at his sad face.

"Don't look at me like that. I promised I'll come visit your graduation." He reassured him. "And?" Karma hinted for more.

Nagisa sighed. "Yes, we'll go mess up the auditorium after that." Karma laughed that he didn't forget. He was blessed to have someone like him and he couldn't wait to have him by his side for the rest of his life.
