Feelings are confusing [Shinso Hitoshi x reader]

"-inso, Shinso, Shinso!" A voice began repeating the hero's name getting louder each time. "Shinso!" The voice called out one more time before the hero shot up in a shock. Before he could fully register what was happening his head bumped into something.
"Ow, what the fuck?!" He grumbled holding onto his head, since when was there a wall there? When shinso opened his eyes he realised that it wasn't a wall he head-butted, it was (y/n).

"Oi! idiot! That hurt!" She winced, still holding onto her head in hopes to relieve some pain.
"Oh shit! I'm sorry," shinso stood up, letting a blanket that was draped over his sleeping body fall back onto the couch, looking around, he saw the mess from their movie marathon that lasted to about three in the morning.
"Why did you have to wake me up?" He asked as he helped (y/n) back up. Before she could answer he saw that she was wearing their UA uniform; then it all clicked.
"We're late."
"Shit."

The two ended up running to school, separating a few hallways away from their classes. (Y/n) got to class quickly without any trouble, however for shinso, he ran into another student. Before the other student could fall onto the floor, shinso caught them.
"Sorry about that," he mumbled as he helped the student stand up straight. While helping the student up he recognised her as Yui Kodai from the 2B hero class.

"It's okay," she mumbled with a small blush, perhaps embarrassed about them running straight into each other. "Why were you in such as rush?" She asked.
"I'm late, wait, why aren't you rushing?" The bell ring like twenty minutes ago, shouldn't she be running too?
"I'm just coming back from the principles office, I had to carry some papers for him," she explained.
"Fair enough, anyway I have to go, bye," he quickly said as he ran to class. Kodai just stood there and watched him run to class, stunned.

When shinso got to his classroom he already dismissed the interaction he had with Kodai. Especially since he was praying that Aizawa won't punish him too harshly.
"Shinso, you're late," Aizawa greeted him, stating the obvious.
"I- yeah.. sorry," he mumbled.
Shinso was then instructed to stand outside to explain his 'reason' for being late.

"Alright, why were you late?" Aizawa asked getting straight to the point after sliding the obnoxiously large door closed.
"(Y/n) was helping me study, I ended up staying for the night," he answered.
"So I'm assuming she's late too?" He asked, all he got was a nod, "and why should this excuse you from being late?"
"We stayed up late, after she told me about her......past," shinso said. He watched Aizawa flinch as he recalled memories; more likely his memory of her on the bridge, their first in counter.
"All of it?"

"Yes Aizawa," shinso answered.
"Well given that it's a rather emotional converstaion, I'll excuse your late arrival," was all the homeless looking hero said. Shinso was about to walk back into the classroom, however he was stopped by Aizawa's arm and sent a death glare his way.
"Shinso, I trust you, however if you merely hurt (y/n); there will be a problem, understood?"
Shinso wasn't offended, he knew why Aizawa would be this protective of her.
"I promise, I'd never hurt her," he said confidently as he walked back into the classroom.

The bell rang and students flooded the hall, basic lunchtime behaviour. Shinso was putting away some books into his respected locker, however his actions came to a halt when he felt a presence behind him.
When he turned around he saw Yui Kodai, the girl from earlier.
"Uh, did you need anything?" He asked, not feeling up to a conversation.
"Well hello to you too, Hitoshi!" She said happily, "I Heard that 2A and 2B are joining again this afternoon for an exercise!"
"And?" The boy asked, completely ignoring the fact that she used his first name.

"I was wondering if we could partner up, I heard it was in pairs, one person from each class!"
"Well, what is your quirk?" He asked. Sure, he didn't really care who his partner was, he just wanted someone that could benefit him in the exercise.
"It's called Size," she began.
'Basic,' shinso thought as she allowed her to continue her explanation.
"I can alter the size of a non-living object," she said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"I'm not really sure-"
"Oh please Hitoshi! Just this one time, please?!"she sounded desperate.
'She's too loud,' he mentally cursed. "Fine. Just this once, only because you're drawing attention," he mumbled.
