When we get back to the apartment, painted pots in bags, Jungkook turns to me. "I'm sorry that things were a little interrupted. But I think we did the right thing there, even if today wasn't the best day for an emotional situation."
I tilt my head at him, confused. "What do you mean?"
"Well, you know, the date and everything. It was our day, and-"
"I suppose so, but I'm happy that you were willing to sacrifice a little bit of time to help others. You've never been a bad guy, and you never will be. No matter what anyone tried to make you become, you are human, and I love you for it."My boyfriend just blushes a little. "I was thinking of getting takeout tonight," he says suddenly, glancing at his watch. "I won't order it yet, it's not even four in the afternoon. But that's the plan. We've got a few hours to just relax, and I feel like after all that emotion, we need that."
I chuckle, kissing his cheek and glancing round the apartment, before making a beeline for the kitchen. "Cup of tea, dearest?" He smiles, nods.
"That would be wonderful, thank you, my darling one."I make us both a cup of tea, and then we move into the living room and slump into the cushions on the sofa. "For some reason, I'm tired," I admit quietly. Jungkook chuckles lightly.
"It's all that mental energy, having all that fun. That's what it is," he jokes, and I smile slightly. Then he sits up slightly. "It was fun, though, right?" I just kiss his nose, and nod."More fun than I think you realise. I loved it, to be honest. There was something so liberating about being ourselves, being cute in public. Even if we didn't do anything majorly fancy, we didn't need to. It was nice to just be a normal couple."
I can feel myself beginning to fall asleep, to melt into the sofa, as I sip at my tea, and Jungkook seems to notice. "Have a nap, babe. If you're not awake by seven, I'll wake you up so we can decide what kind of takeout to eat. How about that?"
"Thank you," I mumble, my arm relaxing a little, and he grabs my mug before it falls. He just kisses my forehead, and then settling into a comfortable hugging position. The next thing I know, Jungkook's shaking me awake. "I don't really wanna interrupt you, but I'm really hungry now," he mumbles, as I blink the blurriness away.
"What time is it?" I ask sleepily, rubbing my eyes and yawning a little. My boyfriend checks his phone.
"Ten to seven?" he says quietly. "I know I promised you seven, but-""Nah, it's cool. I'm starting to feel the hunger too now." He tilts his head at me, but doesn't question it, as I roll my shoulders back a few times, and push the shoulder blades back until it cracks.
"Babe, I'm sorry, but ew."I giggle a little, stretching my arms out (nearly hitting him in the face in the process) and yawning again. "Sorry, Koo."
"You're good. What kinda takeout would you like?" I tilt my head at him. "We're ordering food, babe."I jolt a little. "Oh yeah. Um....can I be lazy and say I feel like having something stereotypical tonight?"
"Like what?"
"I don't know. Nothing fancy."
"Pizza? I'll get wedges and dips and everything, and those cookies you can get?"I perk up at the idea, and he laughs. "I'll take that as a yes. I'll order that for us both. Do you want your usual order, Tae?"
"Please, Koo." He nods in understanding, kissing my cheek and standing up, blinking quickly a few times before heading in the direction of the kitchen. "Where you going?"
"I left my phone on charge," he explains simply. I nod in understanding, accepting the simple explanation, too tired to figure out if there's something else he needs to sort out.I hear him make the order, two pizzas with wedges and dips and cookies, and a drink for us both (Sprite, of course). Then he heads over to our bedroom, and moves around for a little bit before returning to sit by my side, now wearing a hoodie.
