i am gonna miss being seventeen. what an amazing age. i have learned so much. i love this part of my life. i don't want to grow up.
here are some things that have happened while i've been seventeen:
— i became that happiest i've ever been in my life
— i went on a school program that proved to be the single best, most rewarding thing i've ever experienced
— i made countless new friends
— i fell in love for the first time
— i applied to and got into college
— my senior year of high school
— i graduated high school
— i began studying astronomy and theoretical physics
— my self-identity was strengthened by an incomprehensible amount
— i learned what makes me strong
— i learned what makes me special
— i learned how hard it is going to be to leave my school and all my friends and memories behind
seriously. to those of you who have yet to turn seventeen, savor it. cherish it. if you allow yourself to fly, it will be the best year of your adolescent life.
